This Liverpool psychology coach has launched a free programme to lift the spirits of Liverpool

Inspirational brain trainer and psychology coach Liz Forshaw has created a free virtual 4 week programme that’s packed full of invaluable mind and body focussed live sessions and daily rituals in a bid to lift the spirits of Liverpool.

Liz, who is from Fazakerly, is a qualified NLP practitioner and a qualified Personal Performance and Executive Business coach, having worked in life and business coaching for over a decade.

With a passion to change people’s lives for the better and encourage them to ‘be your best self’, Liz has developed and created an entire brand around emotional intelligence for children and adults, self-awareness, brain training and psychology, sharing her expertise with those who want to transform their lives, and adopt a positive mindset, understand their conscious and subconscious mind and build on their mental strength.

Having grown up living in multiple foster homes across the city, Liz spent her early years working on personal development, understanding the importance of releasing subconscious beliefs and having first hand experience in changing her own life, she has since dedicated her adult life helping others do the same.

During lockdown, she created her Best Self book collection consisting of motivating workbooks and mindfulness colouring books which are now being used all over the world. Liz’s online courses including the trailblazing Rewire Your Brain course are used to motivate people and teach them how limitless they really are through releasing their limiting beliefs as well as understanding themselves and others.

Liz has also created a plethora of free resources that are accessible for all.

When Liverpool was plunged into strict Tier 3 restrictions, she felt compelled to help once again.

Understanding the power of brain training, and how different people feel when they’re positive, confident, resilient and encouraged, she set about creating a free virtual 4 week programme to reach as many people as possible.

Focusing on Mindfulness, Fitness, Meditation, Yoga and Nutrition, Liz has teamed up with some of the city’s best personal trainers, meditation teachers, yoga instructors and nutrition gurus to offer their expertise and advice on how to deal with this uncertain and unfamiliar climate.

Liz, who is currently studying for a degree in Psychology at Edge Hill University after landing an excellence scholarship which she was awarded for raising over £100,000 for children’s charities in recent years, has carried out extensive research into people’s thoughts and feelings during the pandemic and aims to improve mental wellbeing by 26%, help people feel more optimistic by 43%, feel more useful by 48%, feel more relaxed by 38%, deal with problems better by 31%, think more clearly by 34%, feel more connected to others by 25% and helping people make up their mind by 26%.

Liz said:

“I always take inspiration from my past experiences and if I can do it, so can anyone else. We just weren’t taught the life tools that are needed so I learned them, used them and now I share them.

“During lockdown from March – June, I hosted a virtual programme on social media to ensure my followers were engaging with positive content that would help them come out of this distressing time that we’ve never experienced before. I also created the Best Self book collection that is being used by people worldwide.

“Everyone has felt stressed, anxious, worried, depressed or uncertain at some point during the pandemic and when the Tier 3 restrictions hit the city, I knew I needed to get back online and help people once again.

“I simply cannot sit back and do nothing when I know so many people – both young and old – are struggling mentally right now. I’m a specialist in brain training, psychology and lifestyle coaching and I know how life-changing this content can be. Combined with fitness classes, yoga sessions, guided meditations and interesting conversations around nutrition and what we’re putting into our bodies during this time will help everyone to boost their immune systems and raise their positivity.”

The 4 week programme will continue live each Monday to Friday until Friday 20th November, however all sessions are saved to Liz’s Instagram page, so it’s available to start at any time.

Mark Scanlon and Dianne Atherton from Awake, Jay Standish of Stand Out Fitness and Aimee Ormesher are all taking live fitness classes. Martin Bone and Claire Morton of The Purpose Pusher  will be taking guided meditations, and yoga enthusiasts Rebecca Stewart and Ryan Tierney of Funky Beats Yoga will also be taking live sessions.

Sophia Hatoum – owner of Pescy Kids – will be talking all things nutrition and feeding children healthy, nutritious, organic meals where possible, as well as nutritionist Sarah from Super Cool Food and the Fitness Factory who will discuss how to eat to boost your immune system, and Lewis Bailey and Kathleen Monaghan of the Lavender Buddy – a growth mindset and emotional regulation tool who’ll be talking all things children and how reduce their worry and anxiety.
