10 famous faces you’ll see at Southport Flower Show

The largest independent flower show in the UK is set to welcome visitors for a four-day floral spectacular.
Southport Flower Show which starts tomorrow will have grand displays and great garden designs, along with food and drink, the best entertainment, cookery demonstrations, and loads of fun activities for the kids.
And starring at the exciting event, which is set to take over the town’s Victoria Park, will be some famous faces – like these…
John Torode and Lisa Faulkner
The celebrity chef couple and MasterChef stars will be cooking up a storm at this year’s show with live demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre at 12pm and 3pm on Saturday, August 19. If that’s not enough and you want to see them up close and personal, they will be doing a Q&A in the Garden Theatre at 2pm.
Lizzie Acker
The Great British Bake Off favourite Lizzie Acker will be in Southport on Friday, August 18, showing off some of her famous cake bakes in the Cookery Theatre from 12pm and 2pm. The amateur baker from Liverpool proved her talent by reaching the quarter finals of the Channel 4 show, and she is open about having ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia and is keen raise awareness of the conditions.
Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev
Countdown star Rachel and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Pasha will also be at the Flower Show on Friday. Romance blossomed for the couple while they were competing in the hit BBC1 dance show and they married in 2019. They’ll be talking about how it all added up for them with a Q&A session in the Garden Theatre at 12pm.
Phil Vickery
This Morning’s resident chef has been a firm favourite in the top telly show’s kitchen since 2006, and he will be showing guests just why he’s remained at the top of the culinary game in the Cookery Theatre on Sunday, August 20, at 12pm and 2pm.
James Wong
The botanist and broadcaster will be sharing his love for houseplants at this year’s show on Sunday, August 20. James is a professional plant geek who lives in his tiny London flat with more than 500 houseplants, and is constantly developing new, escapist terrarium and aquascape creations. You can see him at 12pm and 2pm.
Justin Fletcher, aka Mr Tumble
The CBeebies favourite will be back on Merseyside to entertain the younger members of the family with a fab singing and dancing show. Justin will be in the Garden Theatre on Sunday, August 20, at 11am and 1pm. He says: “I am so thrilled to be coming back to Southport this summer and meeting all the lovely families, so please come along and join in the fun.”
Daisy Desire
Tom Leonard is a horticulturist from Warwickshire, who has a passion for gardening… and drag. It all started after a break-up in 2019 when he decided to get an allotment, and his love of gardening grew into a career after he trained with the RHS. Daisy was such a hit last year that she’s returning by popular demand on Friday, when you can find her in the Garden Theatre at 2pm and 4pm.
Katie Rushworth
ITV’s Love Your Garden presenter Katie will be in the Garden Theatre tomorrow (Thursday, August 17) at 1pm. Katie found her passion and skill for gardening when she first undertook garden maintenance in Yorkshire, and decided to turn it into a career after studying horticulture at night school and working part-time at her local garden centre. She has excellent plant knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a great sense of humour!
