We had the best weekend up at Aintree and having clock-watched our way through Monday, we’re finally ready for a new week. There’s loads happening to keep your spirits up til Friday including new comedy, theatre, cheap eats and if all else fails, get your name down for Grand National 2019 tickets and get ready to do it all again!
Here’s 10 reasons to smile this week….
1 – New Comedy from Johnny Vegas
Skint after the races? Plan a fab Friday night in as Johnny Vegas stars in his brand new BBC 1 comedy, ‘Home From Home’. Johnny plays motorway service station worker, Neil who clashes with the snobby Emilia Fox at their holiday homes.
2 – It’s Record Store Day 2018
Saturday 21st April is Record Store Day 2018 and its no secret that Liverpool love Vinyl! There’s events on at Defend Vinyl, The Jac and check out the Lark Lane Record Fair here.
3 – Get Cultured
Our theatres are booming this Spring with Shakespeare at the Epstein, A Clockwork Orange at Everyman, an Agatha Christie classic at the Playhouse and Hairspray at the Empire.
4 – The Florist Launch
The long-awaited, brand new addition to The Georgian Quarter, The Florist opens on 23rd April and it’s like nothing we’ve seen before. Prepare to snap every inch of the brand new restaurant and its vibrant menu. More info here.Â
5 – The Grand national 2019 dates are in!
Who’s ready to do it all again? You can register your interest for Grand National 2019 tickets now and mark 4-6th April in your diary for another three day festival packed with fun.
6 – It’s UK Coffee Week
What’s your coffee order? Well why not treat yourself to a skinny, mocha, extra shot, whatever and lift a mug to UK Coffee Week. You’ll find us at the Bold Street Coffee pop up at Santa Maluco, enjoying a quiet Americano at Lock & Key and a pouring over coffee beans at Leaf.
7 – Liverpool Food & Drink Spring Festival is less than a fortnight away
We’re gearing up to indulge the senses at the Liverpool Food & Drink Spring Festival at Sefton Park later this month. All the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the very best food, drink and lifestyle producers in the North West. Who’s coming?
