Can you imagine our city without Liverpool ONE?
The much anticipated launch of Liverpool ONE in 2008 left us gob-smacked, having peered through the hoardings for what felt like eternity, we couldn’t have been more impressed with the result. Now the biggest open air shopping complex in the UK, Liverpool ONE boasts more than 170 stores and 35 restaurants and bars across 6 districts, and this weekend, you’re invited to toast the 10th anniversary of being at the forefront of retail and leisure in the city.
Liverpool ONE will mark its 10th anniversary with a series of special celebrations this May Bank Holiday weekend, ‘Be Our Guest’ celebrations includes live music from around the globe, parades, deals, discounts and even a few freebies thrown in for good measure. Be our Guest at Liverpool ONE this bank holiday weekend
Celebrating your 10th birthday is a big deal and in true Liverpool ONE tradition, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Head to Chavasse Park on Saturday for an impressive swing and jazz extravaganza, just pull up a deck chair and soak up the atmosphere. The fountains at Thomas Steers Way is the place to be at 11am on Sunday as The House of Suarez brings a dazzling and inventive water ballet, ‘The Sun, The Moon and The Stars’ to the Liverpool ONE.
And finally, on Bank Holiday Monday, from noon, Liverpool ONE will be brought to life with a New Orleans-style jazz parade which will wind its way through the streets, bringing an irresistible party feeling of Louisiana to Liverpool. There will be parades at noon, 2pm and 4pm, all starting in Paradise Street. We’ll see you there
The birthday weekend is just one part of an extensive programme of entertainment for 2018 which includes the return of firm favourites like Tickle the Ivories Piano Festival, as well as a new food event in June.
