Nova Scotia on Mann Island has fast become a waterfront hit, serving up breakfast, lunch and beverages seven days a week.
It has been six months since Nova Scotia opened its doors on Mann Island, from the brains behind Ma Boyle’s Alehouse & Eatery and Tempest on Tithebarn street it’s no surprise that it is quickly becoming a favourite with locals and visitors to the city.
Set in the stunning Mann Island building in the shadow of the spectacular Three Graces on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront Nova Scotia has the perfect location – the restaurant has utilised the extensive open-air drinking and dining space, as well as a beautiful interior restaurant and bar which looks out to the Museum of Liverpool and the city’s world-famous Docks.

Breakfast / Brunch
“Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey!” Nova Scotia has a stunning Breakfast and Brunch menu that has something for everyone! Everything from full breakfasts to breakfast brioche’s loaded with fillings such as crispy bacon – maple & mustard sausage – fried egg – crispy potato hash.
This one is definitely going to set you up for the day.
Doggy Brunch
On Saturday, 17 December, Doggy Brunch is back! The morning will unite dog lovers from across the city to Nova Scotia. Each paying adult receives a breakfast brioche and warm drink whilst their pooch is served a doggie breakfast and pupachino – all dogs eat and drink for free.
Doggy Brunch starts from 8.30am until 11am and tickets are £10 per adult.
Lunch
A simple but effective menu, think decadent sandwiches, bowls of Scouse, fish & chips, and small plates. All sandwiches are served on either white or brown sourdough toast unless stated and you can even add home-made seasoned fries or a small soup of the day for just £2!
Perfect for that lite bite to eat after a day around the docks!
Event Space
Nova Scotia is a fantastic space to host your event, whether it be an office party, birthday, wedding, christening or funeral.

Christmas Menu
This year Nova Scotia is sharing its Christmas Menu with Tempest on Tithebarn. Whilst a handful of classics from last year at Tempest are returning, including pigs in blankets, vegan sleeping bags and sticky toffee pudding, the Christmas menu features an abundance of new dishes including petite beef Wellington, halloumi winter logs and lemon and herb sea-bass for both locations.
History
Nova Scotia captures the city’s maritime past since the site opened at the start of summer 2022. It’s little known that at the end of the 19th century, the Mann Island area was previously a shanty-town called Nova Scotia, made up of dwellings and businesses serving the huge ships when the city boomed as a trade destination.
Sunday Lunch
Nova Scotia are serving up the classic roast dinner but with a twist… not only do you get your regular roast dinner, you also get a side of Scouse – now that’s what you call a double win!
Choose from chicken supreme, crispy pork belly, slow-roasted beef brisket or Nova Scotia’s delicious vegan nut roast. Served with fresh vegetables, a huge Yorkshire pudding, crisp roast potatoes and a side of Nova Scotia’s signature Scouse!
