If you are stuck inside with the kids night after night or over a weekend, it can be a struggle to make family time special.
How about ordering some tasty treats for you all, to be enjoyed together? Many local independent food and drink places offer home delivery, or you can safely pick purchases up yourself.
Interesting Eating Company
Founded on Allerton Road back in 2012, Interesting Eating provide a shamelessly indulgent and imaginative menu of foods for all the family, and a selection of coffees plus deluxe hot chocolate for the adults.
The pancakes from here are famous, of course. If savoury tickles your taste buds, then bacon or sausage with Maple syrup, chicken and mushroom to roasted vegetables and sundried tomatoes has you sorted. Sweet pancakes are available for your culinary pleasure as well, from classic lemon and sugar to the Kids! Decorate your own! option with a choice of sauce, marshmallows and jellybeans – and why not add on white chocolate, sprinkles, chopped nuts, or peanut butter? You can also upgrade to a Yank Stack, and Interesting Eating will do their best to accommodate any other requests you may have!

Crust
Crust’s ovens are fired up and ready to cook your favourite pizza topped with fresh ingredients from tried and long trusted Italian suppliers. A Crust pizza is ideal to scoff with the kids. Or, once they’ve gone to bed, to help make date night at home extra memorable. Get your scran to be delivered via Uber eats or deliveroo, or collect it yourself from the Liverpool Bold St or Woolton Village restaurants.
Choose from a selection of starters such as pan-fried prawns or Focaccia bread, and so many different pizzas tasty to both meat lovers – spicy salami Diavola is a total winner- and veggies, for example wild mushroom Boscaiola! Pizza wraps are irresistible to children and grown-ups both, and Crust have chicken, sausage, steak, salmon, vegetarian and more. Laura’s Little Bakery
Laura’s Little Bakery celebrates 10 years of success this month. Laura Worthington started her business with just six months baking experience and has gone from strength to strength, known for her bespoke beautifully designed and delicious cakes, cupcakes and baked goodies. She supplies the public, as well as corporate clients such as LFC, EFC, Harvery Nichols, the Arena and Liverpool Empire plus cafes, restaurants, and weddings.
Laura also runs the Donate A Cake initiative which aims to get birthday cakes to local children whose parents can’t afford it themselves.
The Midnight Delivery
Midnight Delivery does exactly what it says on the (cake) tin! It delivers cakes, and sweets to your home from 7pm-12pm from Monday to Sunday. This is the delivery service for you if you’ve got a sweet tooth and find yourself hankering after a serious sugar hit out of hours. Try white chocolate Kinder Bueno filled doughnuts, Terry’s Chocolate Orange cookie dough, Galaxy Caramel Nutella brownies just to start with. And if you like milkshakes they have them too, Daim and salted caramel and Jammy Dodger ones are to die for!

Love Lane Brewery
Love Lane’s online shop is open, and has the full range of the beer we’ve all become so familiar with, including the classic and ever popular Pale Ale, plus lager and a range of IPAs. You can treat yourself to a Higsons 5L mini cask of their Golden Ale too. It goes without saying that they have gin as well – from Ginsmiths of Liverpool, you can choose dry, Merchant and Marshmallow-flavoured and Love Lane’s own Passionflower. Should your beer thirst need slaking after a long week at work, if you take your growler bottle to the brewery they will refill it for you. Just swing by every Friday between 4pm – 7pm. It’s the nearest thing to going to the pub and you’ll be supporting your favourite local brewery at the same time.
Craft Taproom
Craft Taproom on Smithdown Road are quite simply committed to distributing wonderful beer, which so happens to be fully vegan!
If you fancy stout or porter or fruity or sours or Belgian beer or cider or pretty much anything, they will deliver it to you via courier, or offer local delivery if you live nearby. They sell low alcohol beverages and gluten free as well. At Craft Taproom the Bob Ross Paint-A-Long nights were so popular, regulars creating unique oil painting masterpieces! That isn’t possible right now so you can buy a handy Bob In A Box with the tools and paint and the help you might need to create. The box includes a link to the Taproom’s Paint-A-Long video to watch anytime, or you can join everyone else at 7pm on Twitch on Thursday 12th of December.

Seasonal craft cocktails to enjoy at home, with specially designed garnishes to match, are made and delivered by Idle Hands in 250ml bottles for 2/3 serves and 500ml eco friendly pouches with 4/5 serves.
