10 Things We Love about the New Clubhouse in Liverpool One
9 years ago
The Hamptons have come to Liverpool as the brand new Clubhouse gets set to open in Chavasse Park. The glamorous Beach Bar and Grill opens it’s beautiful big white panelled doors on Monday February 1st. We were treated to a taster earlier this week and already we are salivating at the thought of returning.
Here are 10 things we LOVE about The Clubhouse, Liverpool One…
Super friendly Service…
It really does make your dining experience much more enjoyable when staff are friendly, fun and enthusiastic, and the team at The Clubhouse are all of the above and more. Greeted with smiles, help with menu choosing dilemmas, and knowledgeable about every drink and meal served, they really are first class. Over 100,000 has been spent on staff training alone and you really can tell. Well done team!
It has an outside bar…
We all love a few cheeky drinks sat outside in the sunshine, but even in Winter the outside area at The Clubhouse will be booming. Overlooking the spacious Chavasse Park and down on to Liverpool One, there can’t be many places that can better the atmosphere.
Stunning live music every night of the week…
When you don’t know if the music playing is live or recorded you are on to a good thing. When we visited it was pianist and vocalist Graeme Heerden treating us to a selection of classics and current tunes we all know and love, creating the perfect atmosphere for a New England experience.
Pies…Yes PIES!
And these aren’t any normal pies. We tried the chicken and chorizo served up with a firm favourite, chips and gravy. Also on the pie menu you can find steak & stout, and for the veggies creamy cauliflower cheese. Perfect!
We love our cocktails…
We love it when a waiter asks if he can choose your cocktail for you, and in the Clubhouse you can trust their choice 100%. The classics Pina Colada, Mojito’s and Strawberry Daiquiri are all available, but our personal favourite was one of the house cocktails, which are all bottled on site. Try the Old Club Fashioned (Jack Daniels, Cinammon & Spice) Beautiful!
Deli platters!
Sharing platters and starters are the way forward, especially if, like us, you are unbelievably indecisive. We sampled the deli board as a starter in which you can choose 4 (or more if you’d like) items from the menu. Everything from potato, Caesar or Greek salad, scotch eggs, Camembert cheese, chorizo, humous and coronation chicken. All served with fresh warm Turkish bread. But don’t be deceived, these portions are big…just the way we like them 😉
They have a BBQ & Rotisserie…
The outside kitchen adds that extra bit of pazazz, not only looking great but smelling fantastic too. From the BBQ you can order hanging meat kebabs, succulent rib eye steak or beef, lamb & chicken burgers. The Rotisserie chickens come spiced as you like and you can go for half or a full one (but save room for that hanging strawberry chocolate kebab!)
Beer Tasting, actual beer tasting…
The Clubhouse has it’s own ale tasting room, together with self-serving taps and it’s own ale tasting expert. A perfect way to start, or end your night and a perfect gift idea too. More info and different packages for the ale tasting online. You can tell The Clubhouse takes great pride in its beer menu with 16 lagers and 7 wheat beers on offer, there really is something for everyone.
Private Dining for a special occasion…
You can book your own private dining room at The Clubhouse, catering for up to 15 guests, perfect for a birthday, family celebration or work outing.
Hanging Strawberry, Marshmallow and Chocolate Kebabs – it’s true!
We dare anyone to walk away from the dessert menu at The Clubhouse, it’s near enough impossible. From sticky toffee pudding, apple crumble and key lime pie to something very different – you have to try the strawberry and marshmallow kebab with Sailor Jerry chocolate sauce poured down the kebab on your table – wow!
