Oh hi the weekend, time to make stories for Monday!

We’ve got a jam packed weekend ahead with loads of nights out, family fun and food and drink ideas to plan a belter weekend in Liverpool. With the last of summer sun clinging on, we’re celebrating the Queen of Pop’s 60th, the kids can have a ball at Stanley Park and we’re discovering new bands, frozen cocktails and a motorsport spectacle on the The Strand.

Here’s 10 things you can do this weekend in Liverpool…

For Breakfast with Style…

Lock & Key, Duke Street

We love nothing more than starting our weekend with a delicious breakfast in stunning setting, and for us that means eggs, avo and a beautiful street view at Lock & Key, Duke Street. Check out the menu here. 


To Raise a Glass of Rum…

Rum & Reggae Festival, Liverpool Olympia

Liverpool’s Olympia is hosting a Rum & Reggae festival this Saturday from 1pm and if you’re into tastes of the Caribbean, you wont want to miss this. Free rum punch on arrival, live music, carnival dancers and of course, rum from around the world. More info and tickets here.

Shed a Little Light, Jacaranda Records Phase One

If you’re into acoustic music, Jacaranda Records’ Phase One has a brilliant night supporting local talent on Friday from 8pm. Hear the likes of Alex Hulme, Tosin Salako and more perform live. Info here.

Lunch time eats at Grand Central Food Bazaar

If you’ve still not been to Grand Central Food Bazaar, where’ve you been?? With 12 independent food vendors and one stunning and totally unique dining room, you’re missing out. There’s a special Artisan Market this Saturday too so you can dine, mooch and shop in style. Madonna’s Birthday Bash, Camp & Furnace

Shout About It Live, Constellations

A weekend in Liverpool has to involve live music somewhere in the mix and Constellations is hosting a belter. Shout About It Live features a stellar line up of brilliant local artists alongside gig photography that takes you behind the scenes and into the crowds. More info here.

Frozen Margaritas at Crazy Pedro’s, Parr Street

We’re holding onto the last of the summer sun with slices of insanely good pizza and frozen margarita’s on the terrace at Crazy Pedro’s, Parr Street. Red Bull Drift Shifters, The Strand

There’s a once in a lifetime chance to see what’s essentially a mini grand prix take place in the city this weekend. The Red Bull Drift Shifters take over The Strand on Sunday with a ‘must see’ spectacle for any motorsport fans. More info here. 


To Party in the Park with the kids…

KidsFest, Stanley Park

There’s a huge kids party at Stanley Park this Sunday as KidsFest returns with a huge line up of entertainment for all ages. Organised by JBMT in memory of little James, families can enjoy live performances from Chico, Christopher Maloney, Gary Barker and more, plus fun activities like the Jurassic Tent, Royal Marines Big Rig and Bouncy World.
