Our very own Jay and Ellie named him the ‘soundest celeb’ at Fusion Festival earlier this year, and he loved our crowds so much he’s heading back to the Echo arena in March 2017.  It has been the most talked about and relevant return to music by an artist in decades. 4 – Primal Scream

Glasgow rockers, Primal Scream will take over the Olympia this November for a one off gig. Flying in from the States for their first north west performance in a number of years, excitement has been mounting among local fans.

6 – A Celebration of The Jam

A Celebration of The Jam featuring original bassist Bruce Foxton is a special concert to mark the end of the highly acclaimed retrospective of one of the most influential British bands of the last 40 years. The gig will take place on 5 October at with a percentage of ticket proceeds going to local charities including Be one percent and Impact England.

7 – The Chambers of Horrors: Resting Ground of the Unsaved.

Not going to lie, St George’s Hall has never looked so terrifying! Take a journey through the cold, dark passage ways and eerie cells if you dare… you never know what you may encounter! During your journey through the dark and unforgiving spaces you will encounter those who walk between this world and the next, those who have returned to create havoc and destruction. 8 – Olly Murs

Following a knock-out performance at Fusion Festival earlier this month, everyone’s favourite cockney, Olly Murs is heading back to Liverpool in March 2017. Olly’s last tour in 2015 was a triumph selling out all 27 dates. This summer Olly played a spellbinding set to a 65,000 Hyde Park crowd as special guest to Take That further confirming his reputation as one of the Britain’s very best live performers.

9 – Ocean Colour Scene

To mark the 20th anniversary of their classic ‘Moseley Shoals’ album, Ocean Colour Scene will be celebrating with a huge show at The Olympia in Liverpool this December. Set to provide an unforgettable climax to what has been a benchmark year for the band, the Olympia show will see Birmingham’s distinguished Brit-Pop outfit revisit their classic 1996 album live and in full for the occasion. This Dec 9th gig has got pre-christmas gift written all over it.

10 – Courteeners

Also staging a winter gig in the city and ahead of the release of their fifth album, Courteeners have announced details of a new single and their biggest UK tour to date which includes a date at Echo Arena on Friday 18 November. No One Will Ever Replace Us is a modern day anthem dedicated to a very British kind of summertime love. The band’s Liam Fray says of the song, “it’s about finding love in the unlikely surroundings of Glastonbury. There’s almost an under-pinning fear about when you’ve got something so good, and you don’t want it to end.”
