10 Unmissable Nights Out In Liverpool This September

Summer’s out, kids are back in school and thousands of students are about to descend on the city.
September always seems like a brand new year and a brand new start as the beginning of the new school year is etched in the heads of all of us. But don’t be thinking you can chill the beans after a crazy summer in the city, there is tonnes going on to keep you occupied as the kids rattle through their new homework regimes and the Indian Summer hopefully sets in.
Here’s 10 things going on this September in and around Liverpool. Get involved!
1 – Sonic Yootha, 24 Kitchen St, Baltic Triangle – Friday 1st September
We experienced this night for the first time this summer and our minds were BLOWN! If good old fashioned cheesy pop mixed in with a glittery atmosphere fit for any King, Queen or in between is your thing then get yourself there for a truly memorable night on the tiles. 2 – The Hummingbirds, Arts Club – Saturday 2nd September
One of our favourite local bands are back doing what they do best ‘Back in Liverpool’. This time the lads are joined by Liverpool’s official ‘one to watch’ Eleanor Nelly. Go see! Tickets available here.
3 – Reminisce Festival, Sherdley Park, St Helens – Saturday 9th September
The world’s biggest club classics festival returns bigger and better than ever with a lineup that will literally take you back to when tunes were loud and hangovers were distant. Glow sticks at the ready, you’ll see everyone from Tall Paul to Technotronic, Snap! to Sweet Female Attitude & Lee Butler to Livin’ Joy. Sort your tickets here before it’s too late.
4 – Hobo Bazaar, Baltic Market – Sunday 10th September
An electic mix of vibrant stalls Vintage/Retro Clothing, Collectables, Vinyl, Print Comics, Artwork, Salvage, Furniture, Boho loveliness and much more in one of the best venues in the city. Check out the Facebook page for more info.
5 – Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, Sefton Park – Sat & Sun 16th/ 17th September
It actually feels like Liverpool Food & Drink Festival has been around for a lot longer, but this year the event that is now part of our event scenes staple diet turns 10 years young, of course they are celebrating in style with a feast of celeb chefs and foodie attractions. 6 – John Legend, Echo Arena – Sunday 17th September
Multi-platinum, Oscar & Grammy winning LEGEND arrives in Liverpool this September, bringing with him his ultra-cool, smooth sounds. Tickets for his âDarkness and Lightâ tour still available and where better to hear that voice than in our very own Echo Arena.
7 – Micky Flanagan, Echo Arena – 19th & 20th September
Two nights of one of the funniest men on the planet, yes please! Micky is back in Liverpool with his âAnâ Another FingâŚâ tour – we dare you to go with a full bladder! Tickets available hereÂ
8 – Liverpool Oktoberfest, Pier Head – 21-24th September
The touring team from Oktoberfest have promised more beer for your buck this year, and an even better atmosphere as it returns to the Pier Head for its third time in the city. Steins at the ready! Info on their website.Â
9 – Daft Punk Tribute Act, Krazy House – Friday 22nd September
Ok, ok ok – we know it’s not the real Daft Punk, but apparently they are the closest things to them on the planet. We are teased with surprise performances and headline slots at Glasto every year, and let’s face it, it’s never going to happen so you might as well go and have a boogie to the next best thing in Liverpool. 10 – Guilty Pleasure, Camp & Furnace, Friday 29th September
Guilty Pleasures is a place where you can ditch the guilt and focus on the good, and revel in the pleasure of being part of something fabulous.
