It’s officially Autumn and as the days are getting shorter, it can mean only one thing…..more nights out in the best city in the world!
There’s a shed load of brilliant night out ideas and events happening this October in Liverpool. We’re getting ready to get our Halloween fix, planning Christmas parties and gearing up for a few glasses of prosecco after work….or Christmas Shopping as we like to call it! With one month left to have a little splurge before the present buying madness begins, we’ve got your nights out for October, all wrapped up.
Here’s 10 unmissable nights out in and around Liverpool this October…..get involved!
1 – Dizzee Rascal, O2 Academy
Multi-platinum-selling, multiple-award winning hip hop star, and all round lad, Dizzee Rascal is back with his first album in four years, Raskit, and plays the O2 Academy on Monday 2nd October. Don’t miss the chance to see one of the UK’s finest MC’s as he makes his eagerly-anticipated return this autumn. 2 – Lip Sync Battle comes to Camp & Furnace
Our very own Jay Hynd is hosting Liverpool’s biggest ever Lip Sync Battle at Camp & Furnace on Wednesday 4th October and the line-up is awesome. Supporting Woodlands Hospice, a local charity which provides specialist palliative care for people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses, the event features a whole host of hair-brush singing talent who will be strutting their stuff to win the Gob on Legs trophy. 3 – Prince Night at Underground Liverpool
Any night out dedicated to Prince is always going to get a mention in our going out guides. Australia’s finest musical export (not sure Kylie will have that) Late Nite Tuff Guy is taking us on a journey through the back catalogue of absolute classic hits from the purple one. Get to Underground on Saturday 14th October and party like its 1999. Tickets and info here.
4 – CHIC Featuring Nile Rodgers at Echo Arena
Liverpool Music Week have announced that funk legends CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers will headline the 15th Anniversary Year Opening Night Party of the prestigious Liverpool-based metropolitan music festival on 26 October 2017 and we’re literally counting down the minutes til we hear that iconic base! 5 – Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club
You know the score by now. These epic funk and soul sessions are absolutely legendary and Camp & Furnace have lined up another one for Friday 13th October with the main man, Craig Charles on the decks. If you like it funky, you can’t miss this. 3rd wave tickets are selling fast here.
6 – Cream 25th Birthday, O2 Academy
Be at the O2 Academy, Hotham Street on Saturday 14th October as the Cream 25th Birthday Tour comes back to Liverpool. Expect Paul Bleasedale, Tall Paul, Anthony Probyn, Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontain and more for this humongous party. Details and tickets here.
7- Rick & Morty Pub Quiz, The Merchant
Tuesday nights needn’t be boring! Get down to The Merchant, Slater Street on 17th October and test your knowledge on all things surrounding the travels and adventures of Rick and Morty! 8 – Farmaggedon Fear Farm
We cant put together an October Guide and not have Farmaggedon in there! The only way to celebrate Halloween as a adult is to be scared sh&tless at the Fear Farm, and it’s open for business from Sept 30th. 9 – Little Mix Relive the Glory Days at Echo Arena
Little Mix have added an extra date on their UK tour and will now play the Echo Arena on 16th October. Bringing their Glory Days tour to Liverpool, fans can expect belting tracks, a phenomenal stage show and a sore throat from all the singing! More info and tickets here.
10 – The Goonies at Liverpool Cathedral
One weekend, and one weekend only of film, fun and food in Liverpool Cathedral. On 20th October you can watch The Goonies, 21st October is Matilda and 22nd is Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Expect a bar, dessert shack and local food vendors on site so you’re invited to go hungry and leave happy! All the details here.
