It’s a year since Liverpool hosted what’s got to be the best Eurovision ever, so now’s the chance to celebrate all over again.

The atmosphere that took over the whole city in the run-up to the 2023 contest was absolutely incredible, and there’s going to be loads of great Eurovision events happening to coincide with this year’s on Saturday May 11.

If you want to join in the party as title holders Sweden take over hosting duties, here are 10 things to do to celebrate Eurovision 2024 in Liverpool …

Malmö on the Mersey

It’s Malmo’s turn to bring the Eurovision magic this year, and if you’re a big fan but not planning to head to Sweden, here’s the next best thing. Malmö on the Mersey at the Exhibition Centre on Saturday May 11 is going to be a fabulous Grand Final Screening Party with one of the big stars of last year’s EuroVillage, Vengaboys, back to do it all again!

Welcome to Aquatopia

Remember the Blue and Yellow Submarine Parade which took over the streets in the city centre last Eurovision? Well now the deep sea disco is returning to the Pier Head on Saturday May 11 with family-friendly drop-in Crafty Fish afternoon workshops at Mann Island, dance and Katumba drumming outside Museum of Liverpool and a sea themed catwalk show and DJs on the Submarine Stage by the ferry terminal, 2-7pm.

Beats on the Streets

After last year’s Spot Sonia, now it’s time to hunt down Vengaboys images, take Venga selfies and be in with a chance of winning prizes. All you’ve got to do is follow Visit Liverpool’s socials on Thursday for clues.

This year The Bluecoat will showcase Fly High, a special art installation by artist Andrea Ku from B4 Biodiversity, featuring beautiful blue and yellow butterfly lanterns created during family sessions which will hang in the trees by the Bluecoat’s entrance on School Lane.
