From taking your dog to meet Santa, to grottos for the kids and party nights for the adults, there are loads of way to enjoy Christmas in Crosby and Waterloo.
You could also enjoy a festive night at the movies, a potter round some craft and gift stalls and make your own Christmas wreath.

See the lights get switched on
Waterloo will be lit up on 28 November with events from 1-5pm at the bus interchange, South Road.
Crosby Village switch on takes place from 3-7pm on 29 November with live music from Emily Mac, Sam Roberts and more.
Thornton will be lit up on 6 December at 5.45pm at the Nag’s Head car park.
Santa Paws Dog Grotto
Take your pooch to see Santa and browse for doggy Christmas gifts, all for a good cause.
With a canine Christmas shop and a collection and donation point for Carla Lane animal sanctuary, this is the perfect way for dog fans to get in the festive mood.
Take a picture in front of the Christmas backdrop and try your luck in the raffle.
This event is organised by Pawsitively Does It, the award-winning canine behaviour experts and trainers.
Takes place at 12.30pm, 30 November and 8pm 1 December at St Nicholas Church, Harlech Road, Blundellsands.

Meet Santa and support Riding for the Disabled Association
Meet Santa, pet the ponies, browse the craft and gift stalls and face painting for the kids, this looks like a great day out.
There will also be hot food, coffee and homemade cakes available. Entry costs 50p.
The Crosby RDA Christmas Fair takes place on 1 December from 12-4pm with great fun for all the family.

Sunday Lunch with Santa
Enjoy a two course Sunday lunch as Santa stops by The Lake House restaurant to say hello to all the girls and boys.

Crosby Leisure Centre Christmas Craft and Gift Fair
Browse more than 45 stalls for Christmas presents at this free to enter festive fair.
It is open from 11am-4pm at Crosby Leisure Centre in Mariners Road on 1 December.

Nick Gartland’s Christmas Party
Head to the Lake House and dance the night away as you celebrate the festive season. On Fridays 6, 13 and 20 December you can enjoy a three Christmas set menu and a Christmas cocktail while you enjoy the entertainment from DJ Nick Gartland.

Watch the James Stewart classic It’s A Wonderful Life at The Plaza cinema on 7 December.
It is just one of a host of festive flicks showing at the community cinema during December. And at just £6 a ticket this is a great value, Christmas night out.

Christmas craft fair in the park
Get along to Coronation Park where the kids can enjoy craft sessions and adults can learn how to make their own Christmas wreaths.
There will also be a bookable woodwork activity with Red Squirrel workshop making a wooden Rudolph lantern, £5per lantern and you have a choice of doing this at 12pm or 1.30pm.
All money raised from making the lanterns will go towards the refurbishment of the park’s play area.
Making the fresh Christmas wreaths is £4 per wreath.
Refreshments will be available, this is a cash only event.
Takes place on 7 December from 12 noon – 3pm.

Celebrate in St John’s Road
Get along to St John’s Road in Waterloo to celebrate Christmas and all things local.
There will be a Sata’s grotto, raffles and giveaways, one night store discounts, mulled wine and mince pies.
The Rotary Club Christmas float will also be out. From 5pm.

Celebrate Christmas at Queens Nook
The little bar with a big reputation in Liverpool Road is celebrating Christmas with a party night on 13 December.
Be quick to book though, as this will fill up very quickly.
For £25 per person, you will enjoy a buffet and tunes from DJ Robbie Edwards.
There is also a special bingo night on 27 December to cure those post-Christmas blues.
