It’s Christmas time to Boo and Hiss and we have got the shows set to kick-start your festive season.
Panto season is home in Liverpool for the Christmas holidays, with a selection box full of theatrical treats for kids of all ages. Here are 12 pantomimes and theatre shows for all the family this Christmas in, and around Liverpool.
Cinderella - Otterspool Adventure (30 Nov - 24 Dec)
Prepare to be dazzled by one of the most magical pantos in all the land. Liverpool’s Lee Kelly Productions brings a whole host of laughs and festive fun to one of the North West’s best loved attractions, Otterspool Adventure.
It’s not just panto dames and glass slippers on offer here though, Otterspool Adventure has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland for Christmas complete with ice-rink, make a bear, and of course, Santa’s Grotto.

Sleeping Beauty: The Rock & Roll Panto - Everyman Theatre (23 Nov - 18 Jan 2020)
Get your family on their feet for the annual Everyman Christmas Rock-out, packed with sing-a-long anthems for the ultimate Bohemian Napsody! Will Sleeping Beauty wake to find her prince with this much musical mayhem going on? Let’s hope so!
Peter Pan - Liverpool Empire (6 - 29 Dec)
Children’s classic, Peter Pan has everything from high flying heroes to hungry crocodiles, and of course, everyone’s favourite Panto pirate, Captain Hook! With laughter from Tony Maudsley (Benidorm’s Kenneth DuBeke), obligatory booing for Liverpool’s Louis Emerick as Hook, and a side-serving of glamour from X Factor finalist, Niki Evans – this is the perfect panto for all the family!
Cinderella - Epstein Theatre (6 Dec - 5 Jan 2020)
Starring Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward as the stunning Cinderella, your family is bound to have a ball this Christmas – but will Cinderella ever go to hers? With Benidorm’s Crissy Rock and Brookie’s Sarah White as The Ugly Sisters, and a few famous faces from TV’s Shameless, it’s a North West Rags-to-Riches story!
Miracle on 34th Street - Playhouse Theatre (7 Dec - 4 Jan)
It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas with this timeless musical, guaranteed to leave you feeling merry this Christmas. Journey to New York to follow the story of six year-old Susan and her mother, as they discover the magic of Christmas time like never before!

Aladdin - St Helens Theatre Royal (7 Dec - 12 Jan)
There’s a merry Christmas carpet ride waiting in St Helens with Strictly star, Robin Windsor, and Liverpool’s Phillip McGuinness all set for adventure. While classic Christmas character, Widow Twankey, proves there ain’t nothing like a Dame with laughs galore!

Snow White - M&S Bank Arena (13 Dec - Christmas Eve)
Join Radio City’s fabulous Leanne Campbell as The Wicked Queen, Union J’s JJ Hamblett as The Prince, and the beautiful Ellie Turner as the fairest in all the land, Snow White. A seasonal favourite with magical effects, an enchanted forest, and the ultimate Christmas message: Love conquers all!
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - New Brighton Floral Pavilion (7 Dec - 5 Jan)
Starring Liverpool’s lovely Claire Sweeney as the not-so lovely, Wicked Queen, join Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs for a jolly Christmas jaunt full of singing and dancing which will leave you feeling far from sleepy!

Jack and the Beanstalk - Southport Theatre (13 Dec - 29 Dec)
Starring former 5ive pop star, Ritchie Neville as Jack. Poor Dame Trot and her son Jack hardly have a bean to their name, but as Jack discovers it’s a tough climb to the top, can he Keep On Movin’ to defeat the wicked giant, and make Christmas wishes come true? Find out this Christmas in Southport!

CBeebies Hansel & Gretel - FACT (30 Nov - 1 Dec)
CBeebies pantomime, especially adapted from the stage to the screen, brings the wonder of Christmas to life in this magical, interactive show, ideal for younger children. Watch all your CBeebies favourites discover all you need is family during the festive season.
Snow White - Gataecre Theatre (Saturday 7 December)
The annual Elegance Productions charity panto returns this winter with their very own take on Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. Taking place at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm on Saturday 7th December, this traditional pantomime story, features all your favourite characters and a few new ones too. The cast is the biggest yet with Paul Germain, Eugene Byrne, Grace Hillier and Hanna Jenkins as Snow White.
The Scouse Snow White, Adult Panto - Royal Court Liverpool (22 Nov - 18 Jan)
Featuring Linzi Germaine, Andrew Schofield and Stephen Fletcher, this is the parent-friendly Panto – that’s definitely NOT for children! Six out of seven of the dwarves aren’t happy, there’s a minging witch with an Apple full of a virus she wants our Snow Whit to download, and a Christmas vampire waiting for a kiss!
