11 Tribute Nights in Liverpool that you can’t afford to miss

Whether you missed your chance to see one of the greats or you just love a bit of cheese, this lot are as good as the real thing.

Liverpool attracts some of the biggest music stars to it’s venues throughout the year and while we’re snapping up Katy Perry, Stereophonics and Kylie, we’ve missed our chance to see some late, great legends grace the stage. Luckily for us there’s some superb tribute acts bringing the iconic sounds of Bowie, Queen and Elvis back to life, plus who wouldn’t love an entire night dedicated to the Spice Girls?

We’ve rounded up the best tribute acts and fan nights in Liverpool to get your groove on….

1 – Starman – David Bowie, Echo Arena

Experience the many faces and sounds of Starman himself, David Bowie in this Echo Arena show that features all his greatest hits, and costumes. This November show will make a brilliant early Christmas gift too.  More info here and booking here. 

2 – Kylie, The Tribute, Blundell Street

Pint-sized pop princess Kylie (the tribute) is spinning around at Blundell Street on 29th June, expect a full back catalogue of hits that has spanned 40 years. Tickets and booking here. 

3 – One Night of Queen, Liverpool, Empire

What an absolute crime it is that we never got to experience the incredible, Freddie Mercury perform live! But at least we have the next best thing in One Night of Queen at the Liverpool Empire, on Thursday 26th June. Tickets here. 

4 – Ultimate Tribute to Dolly Parton, Liverpool Naval Club

Famed for it’s brilliant tribute nights, Liverpool Naval Club hosts the one and only Dolly Parton (tribute) on 23rd June and tickets are just ÂŁ4! If that doesn’t fill your cup with ambition, we don’t know what will! Get your tickets here. 

5 – Totally Tina, Echo Arena

The voice, the legs and the facial expressions of the woman that is, Tina Turner will rock the Echo Arena ON 18th November. Bringing her hits from the early days of ‘River Deep, Mountain High’ to the dance floor filler, Proud Mary to Liverpool for one night only. More info here. 

6 – Spice Girls Vs Destiny’s Child, Camp & Furnace

Camp & Furnace is hosting the ultimate girl band showdown on Saturday 19th May. The Spice Girls Vs Destiny’s Child will require your full squad, your biggest voice and your sassiest moves. Be there or be the ‘Michelle’ of the band! Tickets and info here. 

7 – Thriller Live, Liverpool Empire

The King of Pop, gone too soon but his musical legacy lives on in ‘Thriller Live’ coming to the Liverpool Empire from 26th-23rd June, expect all the timeless tracks from Billie Jean to Bad, Thriller and more. Tickets here. 

8 – Definitely Mightbe, Oasis Tribute, 02 Academy

Will the Gallagher brothers stop arguing long enough to head up on stage together again? Probably not, so luckily you can catch ‘Definitely, Mightbe’ this October and remember the good old days of Oasis. Tickets and info here. 

9 – Gimme, Gimme, Gimme! ABBA After Midnight, The Merchant

There’s a club night dedicated to Swedish pop-sensations, ABBA on 27th May and lets face it, what’s a bank holiday without a bit of cheesy pop? Get your moves ready for a bit of ‘Voulez, Vouz’, ‘Waterloo’ and more. Free entry, more info here. 

10 – At Last, The Etta James Story, Liverpool Philharmonic

The Queen of Soul, Etta James is paid tribute to at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on 9th October 2018 with her life story played out with the most incredible soundtrack. Sing along to ‘At Last’, ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ and ‘Sugar on the Floor’ and more here.

11 – Elvis World Tour, Echo Arena

The King is back! The one and only Elvis World Tour is back in Liverpool for one night only on 13th October 2018. Starring Shawn Klush and Dean Z, this renowned show brings big band rock and roll back to life with possibly the most iconic showman of all time, at the helm. Tickets and more ‘ah huh huh’ here.
