14 breakfasts to get your Grand National day off to a great start

The Randox Grand National’s the world’s greatest steeplechase and with more than four miles and 30 fences to conquer, it takes stamina – and not just for the horses.
As one of the favourite leisure events in the Merseyside calendar, thousands of racegoers will flock to Aintree on Saturday, April 13, but it’s a long day and you don’t want to fall at the first hurdle.
So give yourself staying power by getting off to a great start with one of these great Grand National breakfasts.
Gaucho
Immerse yourself in the excitement of the world’s greatest steeplechase at Gaucho Liverpool who have a jam packed schedule for the festival weekend. The Argentinian restaurant will be serving racegoers breakfast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday including a delicious range of classic breakfast dishes and in true Gaucho fashion there has to be steak and cocktails.
The restaurant will also be showcasing the entire day’s racing live on Saturday, April 13.
For those heading back into town after the races on Ladies Day there will be entertainment from guest DJ Mia Wong who will be keeping the party going.
For those not heading to Aintree for Grand National day, Gaucho is offering the ideal setting to savour the thrill of the races in opulent comfort. A selection of chilled beers and bubbles will be awaiting guests at 1pm, setting the stage for an unforgettable day. Following the refreshments, guests will indulge in a delectable three-course menu complemented by half a bottle of the finest Argentinian wine, all for just ÂŁ65 per person.

Blackburne House

St George’s Hall
The St George’s Grand Breakfast is odds-on to help you start your National celebrations in style. For just £46, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of fizz or beer at one of the city’s finest venues, before being seated at your table to enjoy a buffet breakfast while listening to musical entertainment. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll then hop on board your waiting coach which will take you from St George’s Plateau straight to Aintree in time for the first race.

The Old Stables – Allerton Manor Golf Club
Allerton Manor reckons a lucky day at the races starts with a winning breakfast, so they’re suggesting a glass of fizz in The Old Stables Restaurant. You can enjoy one of your favourite breakfast dishes, pastries and glass of prosecco, house wine or beer for just £20 per person, and it’s available for the whole of the Grand National Festival from Thursday to Saturday, between 9am – 12pm.

Fuel up for Aintree with a Baby E Breaky.
