The weekend is calling and as always there is a tonne of goings on, day and night across our city. From pirate battles to hip-hop battles, foodie feasts to bottomless brunch we’ve got 12 things you need to check over the next few days in Liverpool.
1 – Beauty and the Feast – Sefton Park, Friday
The official 10th anniversary for our beloved Liverpool Food & Drink Festival. Gizzi Erskeine cooking up a treat, Lightning Seeds performing a special acoustic set, stunning marquee in the middle of Sefton Park – perfect! Tickets available here.
2 – Mouvement presents Fingerman & Thomas Tuft, 24 Kitchen Street, Friday
If disco and house is your thing head to 24 Kitchen Street on Friday for the follow up to Mouvement’s successful debut earlier this year. Rave face on!
3 – A taste of New York in the heart of the city, NYL, Aloft, North John St

4 – A full two days of foodie fun, Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, Sefton Park

5 – Bottomless Brunch in style at Pan Am, Albert Dock – Saturday

6 – Rap battle at The Merchant, Parr Street – Saturday
The tunes from two hi-hop heavyweights back to back at one of our favourite city centre venues. Yes please! Team Kanye for us. More info on the website.
7 – Constellations bids farewell to FINCA, Constellations, Greenland Street – Saturday
Street food Cuban style from the gang at FINCA before they head off to open at the Baltic Market and live music from the Melodic Distraction starting at 6pm. Head to the website for more info.
8 – Oktoberfest has arrived at Bierkeller, Liverpool ONE – Saturday
Steins at the ready our fave celebration of all things Bavarian has arrived at one of the city’s best loved venues, Bierkeller Liverpool. The Oompah band are of course on hand for the entertainment and some great discounts too. Plus if you fancy some live sports while you are there head to Shooters Bar also on the complex. 9 – Fancy a giggle? Liverpool Comedy Club, Camp and Furnace, Greenland Street – Saturday
Camp and Furnace now also boasts one of the funniest places in town. The Liverpool Comedy Club has a stellar lineup coming up and this weekend it is the job of Jamie Sutherland & Duncan Oakley to get the giggles out of you. More info here.
10 – A Legend is in town, Echo Arena – Sunday
John Legend brings his ‘Darkness & Light’ tour to Liverpool, one of the most successful musicians on the planet. Come on we all know ‘All of Me’. Book the last remaining tickets here.
11 – Sunday Roast at CAU Liverpool, Castle Street

As well as all of the above, we of course have our annual Pirate Festival on the Dock happening this weekend. Experience a full on pirate battle in the middle of the dock Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, an incredible mermaid and pirate parade, and lots more swashbuckling fun on our Albert Dock.
