14 activities to do with the kids this Bank Holiday Weekend in Liverpool

Congrats to all the parents and guardians across the city region who have managed to keep their kids entertained throughout the summer!

Let us take some of the strain this bank holiday weekend as we line up some family friendly activities for kids (and big kids) of all ages. We’ve brought together free fun days, live music, comic book heroes, really wild animals and a touch of Disney Magic. How many will you get to?

Here’s 14 family-friendly activities to check out with this bank holiday weekend in Liverpool…..

1 – Enchanted Speke Hall

Get your competitive streak in order for a summer of sport, on offer at Speke Hall this bank holiday weekend. Just make sure the dads actually let the kids have a go! Details here.

2 – Folk on the Dock

Take the kids for a bit of a boogie down at Albert Dock this weekend as Folk on the Dock returns for three days of folk, acoustic and roots music. Plenty of places to eat and play all in one beautiful location. More here.

3 – Knowsley Safari Park

Knowsley Safari Park is always a fab day out and right now there’s 20% off online bookings too. Head to see the Elephant herd before they stomp off to France ahead of a huge park revamp. More here.

4 – Hoylake & West Kirby RNLI Fun Day

There’s a bit of seaside fun for everyone around on Hoylake Prom on bank holiday Monday as the RNLI hosts its open day. Expect a funfair, stalls, displays and the chance to see the RNLI’s lifeboats up close. More here.

5 – Explore Liverpool’s stunning Town Hall

6 – Stanley Park Summer Garden Party

The Stanley Park Summer Garden party is GO! From 12pm-3pm this Saturday, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide variety of activities for all ages, including crafts, martial arts, yoga and wildlife workshops and even a teddy bears picnic.

8 – Tonnes of family fun at The Atkinson, Southport

The Atkinson, Southport has a whole host of fun activities on this week and into the bank holiday weekend. Showing Beauty & the Beast, screen printing and craft sessions galore. Plan your visit here.

9 – Ellesmere Port Comic Con

A visit to Farmer Teds is a sure fire way to tire the kids out on bank holiday weekend. There’s all manner of farm yard fun available and some very special birds of prey on display this weekend. Book online here.

11 – Norris Green Park Family Fun Day

Stay in the suburbs this weekend with free family fun with Community Links at Norris Green Park. From 11-3pm on Friday 25th you and the kids can have a good run about and explore the stalls. Info here.

12 – West Derby Village Fair

Grab your scooters, skates and bikes and spend your pocket money on some goodies at the West Derby Village Fair on Saturday before heading off into Croxteth Park for a skate, scoot or ride about. Easy Summer fun. More here.

13 – Fantasia at Victoria Gallery

The Victoria Gallery hosts its free Saturday Family fun day this week with tonnes of crafty bits and bobs plus a showing of Disney’s Fantasia. Check out the ‘Sheroes’ exhibition to inspire your little super heroes. More info here.

14 – Get Crafty at Museum of Liverpool
