14 ‘Indoor Fun’ Ideas For All Ages In Liverpool

It’s February half term in Liverpool and we’ve lined up tonnes of indoor activities for you and your little ones to try out this week.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse this half term in Liverpool, we’ve got you covered. From craft sessions, big screen movies at pocket money prices, panto madness and even an adventure in Narnia, there’s something for all ages taking place right here in the city.

1 – The Narnia Experience, St George’s Hall

Following a sell-out run back in 2013, The Narnia Experience returns to St George’s Hall this half term and runs until 25th February. Visitors are invited to step through the enchanted wardrobe where they will discover a wintry wonderland as seen through the eyes of either Lucy or Edmund from this classic children’s tale. 2 – Gruffalo’s, Bears and Crafts…Oh My! Sefton Park Palm House

Join in on not just one, but two fun-filled afternoons of arts and crafts, games and storytelling all inspired by the classic and well loved children’s stories, The Gruffalo and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! Suitable for children aged 3-9 and priced at just £5 per child (adults go free) what better way to spend a half term afternoon than in these beautiful surroundings!? 3 – Imagine That, Wavertree Tech Park

Formerly called Underwater Street and based in the city centre, this children’s discovery centre has a brand new home and name. Imagine That is now based at Wavertree technology park due to outgrowing its original setting. Let your kids burn off some steam with all manner of physical activities and crafts plus educational experiments and dressing up! (Ps it’s quieter on Wednesdays and Fridays!) 4 – Drop In Delights at Museums and Galleries, Liverpool

Are you ready for just how many awesome, free events the Liverpool museums and galleries are hosting this half term? Big deep breath….here’s a snapshot…..toddler time, carnival crafts, treasure boxes, Egyptian god puppets, get up and glow, moo music, lightship crafts, astronauts Vs aliens, shooting stars, storytelling, the pilot’s challenge…….and even more! 5- Sooty, Sweep and Soo, Come to Warrington

Izzy, wizzy, let’s get busy, because the nation’s favourite TV bear Sooty is bringing his friends to Warrington’s Parr Hall this month for a fun-packed show. The hugely popular children’s character and his friends Sweep and Soo are back for two shows on Tuesday 21 February with guaranteed giggles for all the family. There will also be a chance to meet Sooty and Richard! We’ll definitely be heading to see this! Get your tickets here.

6 – Monster Monday at the WigWam Coffee Shop

Offering parents quality food, tea & coffee in stylish & grown up surroundings while providing children with a whole host of fun, educational activities, the Wigwam Coffee Shop, Rose Lane is offering a number of fab events this half term. 7 – Hilarious Half Term Panto Madness

Packed with non-stop knockabout naughtiness and nine nutty ninjas, SuperBooty, at The Epstein Theatre is a fun-filled show for all the family which tells the story of a brand-new superhero we can all relate to, just an ordinary girl with an extraordinary gift. Starring Britain’s Got Talent 2016 finalist – Boogie Storm’s Lewis Pryor, Liverpool singing sensation Hayley Hampson, BBC’s ‘Young Dancer of the Year’ finalist this is a show that promises to kick some serious booty! Get your tickets here.

8 – Half term in the ‘Burbs

There’s so many half term sessions happening right on our doorsteps around the city including a week long programme of high energy events at Croxteth Lifestyles Centre. If your little ones like to get active why not try out boxing, judo, little kickers footy league and the soft play activity zone while you find your zen at a yoga or pilates session or just hide from the kids in the steam room? 9 – Roald Dahl’s, The Twits, Everyman Theatre

This classic Roald Dahl tales opens at the Everyman Theatre, Hope Street this Tuesday and runs until Saturday 25th. Directed by Max Webster (The Lorax at The Old Vic), this mischievous new show promises to be just as disgusting and repulsive as earth worms disguised as spaghetti – the perfect treat for all the family. 11 – Creative Club Sessions at The Black E

The Black E is offering two days of Play Scheme sessions during half term. The regular Saturday session 11-2pm will do ahead and additional activities are also taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday 11-2pm for children ages 7 and over. 12 – Half Term Hanging Around

Hang around at The Climbing Hangar, Birchall Street this half term. Perfect for kids of all abilities, sessions are suitable for ages 7-14. Holiday camps provide kids with an opportunity to get active whilst building their team working skills and meeting new friends.
