Going out as a group for a meal or drink for a special occasion is great, but sometimes you want somewhere that’s exclusively for you, your family and friends.
It’s been a tricky 18 months for parties, but now restrictions have eased and we’re coming up to Christmas, it could be time to get together properly and celebrate.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, birthday or anniversary, baby shower or Christening, a Christmas do, or you just want to have the people who mean the most to you all in one place for a special night, here are 14 amazing venues to hire in Liverpool …
The Venue at Royal Liver Building
Locations don’t come any more iconic than this one – The Venue event space inside the Royal Liver Building with a balcony overlooking the waterfront which is the perfect place for sunset drinks. It can host parties of up to 200 and a white interior means you can put your own stamp on it.

The Concert Room at St George’s Hall
The Concert Room is a stunner if you’re looking for something more intimate than the main hall. Ornate surroundings with a central chandelier make it popular for weddings and civil ceremonies, and for corporate events, seating up to 80 guests for a wedding reception and up to 120 for an evening/standing party.

Sefton Park Palm House
The Palm House is having its own celebration this year, it’s 125th birthday, and the plant-filled glass dome makes a wow backdrop for events all year round. It can cater for weddings, celebration get togethers, exhibitions and formal or informal corporate functions. They’ll even organise a family afternoon tea party if that’s what you’re after.

Allerton Manor Golf Club
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue in south Liverpool then the grade II listed Allerton Manor’s event space, The Hay Loft, with its private bar and outdoor terrace, definitely ticks that box. As well as weddings and birthday parties, they also cater for corporate events and meetings, Christenings, baby showers and gender reveal parties.

Tempest on Tithebarn
Tempest on Tithebarn has so many different cool event spaces you’ll be spoilt for choice. The library area of the main bar is available for private bookings, there’s the rooftop holding up to 100 people weather-permitting, the ground floor atrium, and the Kol Box subterranean concrete bunker bar perfect for clubby parties of up to 100.

The Art School Cellars
The Art School’s known for its incredible fine dining, under chef patron Paul Askew, and The Art School Cellars offers something special too. It has two different spaces to hire depending on what you’re hosting: The Tasting Room, with food and drink for up to 10 seated, or the entire Cellars for larger celebrations or business events.

Titanic Hotel
At the historic Stanley Dock, Titanic Hotel Liverpool has two different event options depending on what you’re planning – the grand, stylishly renovated 1950s Rum Warehouse which can seat up to 500 and West Bay, with its stone floors and vaulted brick ceilings, for up to 180. You can get a pre-party pamper at Maya Blue Wellness too.

Free State Kitchen
Up on Maryland Street off Hope Street, Free State Kitchen’s got its little secret garden out at the back which is a sun trap in the summer, but it’s also the perfect place for a winter snug. FSK’s traditional Mongolian yurt, decked out with twinkly lights and a wood burner, makes a cosy venue for a winter party, up to 24 sit-down or 30 standing.

Love Lane Brewery
Partying in a brewery sounds like a dream, but it can happen if you book Love Lane Brewery in the Baltic. There are three spaces for hire – The Mezzanine for up to 55 standing; The Tasting Room for 65 or you can take over the entire ground floor overlooking the actual brewery for up to 150.

The Pillbox at Frederik’s
They’re an accommodating lot at Fred’s on Hope Street, so you can basically book any part of the place just for you, including the sofas by the fire. But for something a bit more formal, go for the Pillbox events space which comes with its own private bar is perfect for private parties and weddings.

You get three different warehouse spaces to choose from at Camp and Furnace, so one’s bound to fit the bill – Camp suits more large scale events, Furnace is great for all kinds of private parties and business presentations and there’s the Lobby Bar which is just right for a relaxed get together either daytime or evening.

Isla Gladstone
If you’re in north Liverpool then you’ll probably already know what a gorgeous heritage venue the Isla Gladstone conservatory in Stanley Park is. Dating back to the late 1800s, it offers a versatile space for private hire including a bandstand for live music, private bar, and an outdoor terrace. It’s set in its own private grounds too.

Fancy giving your party a Latin American flavour? If so, Rev de Cuba at the Albert Dock has got just what you need. They’re geared up for private Christmas parties, birthdays or they can give your corporate event a Cuban theme. Hire private rooms or if it’s a big party, they’ll do a full venue takeover.

21st Amendment
On Church Road, just off Allerton Road, 21st Amendment is especially known for its roasts and live music but it also does events at 21A on its first floor, There’s a function room which is free to hire for small celebrations, birthdays, and Christmas get togethers, which comes with its own bar and has two 60in TVs.
