15 Reminisce Acts & DJ’s You Simply Cannot Miss on Saturday

It’s official, Reminisce 2016 is almost a sell-out, and with an incredible line-up of old school dance, trance and euphoric acts we’re hardly surprised!

The park is ready, the stages are built, the bars are fully stocked and Lee Butler has been practicing his dance moves for months, all that’s left to do is read our top 15 acts and prepare to dance your ass off!

1 – Angie Brown. Absolute belting early 90’s track, ‘I’m Gonna Get You’ will be blaring out across Sherdley Park as Brixton born singer, Angie Brown hits the Reminisce Arena and we reckon we’ll be able to hear the crowd singing along all the way back in Liverpool.

2- K-Klass. Another old school classic track, ‘Rhythm is a Mystery’ which was released back in 1991 (omg we’re so old) will be performed by Manchester based electronic band K-Klass this weekend. If you don’t know this one, you shouldn’t be allowed in! Get ready to bounce to ‘Let Me Show You’ like its 1993!

3 – Flip & Fill. We’ve got three words that will sum up the clubland arena for all you ravers; ‘Shake Ya Shimmy’ because Flip & Fill, who have worked with all the great vocalists on their club remixes from Karen Parry to Rachel McFarlane and Kelly Llorenna, are bringing their biggest hits to Reminisce.

4 – Ian Redman. Local lad Ian Redman of Ultrabeat will have you jumping around to classic 2003 hit and Liverpool anthem ‘Pretty Green Eyes’ like you’re 18 again. Followed up by ‘Elysium, I Go Crazy’ you’ll be transported back to the 051 in seconds. This set is gonna go down a storm!

5 – Kristine Blond. Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey Heeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy….Throw your hands up and get ready to sing/shout these iconic lyrics to your best mate! Kristine Blond will be taking to the Euphoric arena stage with  ‘Love Shy’. You just cant miss this!

6 – Anton Powers. Liverpool club legend Anton is flying high following his number one track ‘Alone No More’ last year. He’s rocked Fusion, he nailed Creamfields and been travelled the globe this summer, basically preparing the rest of the world for Reminisce. Prepare to experience an electric (and just completely boss) atmosphere when he takes to the decks this weekend.

7 – Therese. Swedish stunner, Therese, the vocalist behind the Stonebridge hit ‘Put Em High’ will take you hurtling back to 2004 Ibiza and to the good old days of Society on Duke Street with this mega crowd-pleaser. Watch you don’t get swilled because this is deffo gonna go off.

8 – Coco. If you started out on your clubbing journey during the late 90’s then this is your anthem. Released in 96 and re-recorded in 97 as ‘Toca’s Miracle’ this absolute anthem reached the number 1 spot in 14 countries and played on loop every Saturday night at Chillies! This was THE original ‘Toca’s Miracle’.

9 – Robin S. Does this woman even need an intro? Flying in from the states to perform at Reminisce, you just know the minute you hear that opening bar, the crowd is gonna go wild! Cue loads of pointing and shouting ‘Baby if you want meeeeeeeee’

10 – Tod Terry. US Producer and remixer Todd Terry has more UK hits than we can shake a glow stick at. He’s flying in to Liverpool to perform hits like ‘Something Going On’ and ’96 anthem ‘Keep On Jumpin’ before jetting off to Ibiza for the Glitterbox closing party. Legend!

11 – Eve Gallagher. The ultimate feel good Liverpool dance track of the 90’s came in the form of Eve Gallgher’s ‘You Can Have it All’. Women around the country launched their bags down and bigged each other up belting out the lyrics to this one. Sing it!  ‘What ya gonna do when life really gets you down……’

12 – Black Box. We throw the word ‘legend’ around a lot these days, but Black Box’s 1989 UK number 1 single ‘Ride on Time’ started the dance music revolution that spanned an entire decade and more. One of the first ever dance tracks to top the UK mainstream charts, their performance at Reminisce is gonna go down in history!

13 – Andry Nalin. Ahhh ‘Beachball’ what an iconic track! Weekends in late 1997 began and ended with this chat-topping tune and no day on the beach at Southport or New Brighton went without this as the soundtrack! ‘Just crruuussssin’

14 – Lee Butler. We couldn’t write a top 14 and not finish off with the big man himself. He’s got the weekend off Radio City and he’s decided to organise the biggest old school dance festival the country has ever seen! Mad head! The Brekkie Butler will be swapping the studio for the Reminisce arena stage this weekend. Check out his boss dance moves here.

15 – Vengaboys. Yes we have saved best until last! The Vengabus is officially on it’s way to Liverpool people and we cannot wait. Everyone is talking about the biggest pop band of the late nineties heading to St Helens bringing with them a collection of tunes that will make Reminisce 2016 the best yet!
