20 must do’s at the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival 2017

Who else is gearing up to browse the stalls and sample ALL the food at Sefton Park next week?
We’re just days away from the 10th anniversary Liverpool Food and Drink Festival. This twice yearly celebration of the city’s best bars, restaurants, cafes and producers is basically a giant feast in Sefton Park and takes place on 16th – 17th September 2017.
With more celeb chefs than you can shake a chop-stick at, live cookery demos and of course stall upon stall of tasty treats, plus a whole Kids Village to explore and live music to chow down to, we’ve put together our top 20 must eat, drink and do’s for the two day festival so you guys can plan a memorable weekend.
Here’s our top 20 must do’s for the 10th anniversary Liverpool Food and Drink Festival 2017…..
1 – Get the party started with ‘Gizzi and the Feast’ on Friday night, featuring the Lightning Seeds! Info here.
2 – Join Reds True BBQ for a demo in Black Angus Brisket on Saturday at 3:30pm.
3 – Get involved with Kumon for cupcake decorating in the Kids Village.
4 – Choose your fave Yog Bar flavour and toppings combo – all that yummy frozen goodness and its fat free!
5 – Pull up a hay stack/bench/deck chair and listen to Night & Days, The Sterlings and Rachel Holland perform live.
6 – Get yourself a pic with the Hairy Bikers as they perform cookery demo’s sign books and chat with our Jay.
7 – Make it like Wimbledon and devour some fresh fruit from Simply Strawberries – all we need now is the sun.
8 – Get your mini chefs booked in for cookery classes with Kidz Kitchen, pre booking here.
9 – Pick up some bangers for dinner from Hallsford Farm and the Cumbrian Sausage Company.
10 – The Simon Rimmer Show rolls into the park, don’t miss his special guests Nisha Katona and Paul Askew.
11 – Get a boost with paleo energy bars from Primal Pantry.
12 – Mix things up with Alma De Cuba and their Latin cocktail making demo at 3:15pm on Sunday.
13 – Go wild in the pic n’mix hut because yes, sweets are acceptable for lunch at the weekend.
14 – Treat yourself to some sweetness from Coco Baroque, rustic cakes and truffles, yes please!
15 – You have to try squid and sweet potato fries from street food vendor, Squiddly Diddly.
16 – Get a taste for Cheshire Cheese with 14 different varieties on offer. (Its also fine to try all 14).
17 – Get crafty with Ginger Island and get your face glittered or the kids made up into their fave princess or hero.
18 – Try a pie! Fusion flavours and oh so flaky pastry awaits at the Pie Journey stall.
19 – Get your chops around a HUGE burger from Almost Famous, damn their boozy shakes are good too.
20 – The newest kid on the Castle Street block, Izakaya brings tempura and sushi to Sefton Park, get some!
