Borealis lights up Royal Albert Dock from Thursday

Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock will host a world-renowned light installation this spring, bringing the magic of the Northern Lights to the city for the first time.
From 20 – 30 March 2025, visitors can experience Borealis, an awe-inspiring display that has captivated audiences across the world.
Kicking off on the first day of spring and concluding with the start of British Summer Time, this free ten-day awe-inspiring spectacle will serve as a symbol of seasonal change, celebrating the arrival of the longer, brighter days ahead, and offering a must-see attraction for visitors.
Blood Brothers continues

Willy Russell’s tragic tale of brothers separated and brought up with very different lives has been getting nightly standing ovations since it opened at the Empire last week. It’s a stunning production with an outstanding cast, not least Niki Colwell Evans as Mrs Johnstone. It’s on until Saturday so don’t miss it!

Red or Dead at Liverpool’s Royal Court

This is an excellent week for theatre, and if you’re a Reds fan – or just a footy fan in general – head to the Royal Court because a new production dedicated to legendary manager Bill Shankly opens on Friday. Actor Peter Mullan heads a 52-strong cast which also includes Les Dennis. On until April 19.

The Capstone Theatre on Shaw Street has a week of theatre and dance performances, art, film, workshops and storytelling from this Thursday. An eclectic line-up for Angel Field Festival features everything from a Scandinavian fairy tale to award-winning dance showcasing the culture of Louisiana.

When we last saw Loreen she was smashing it at Eurovision, bringing home the contest win for Sweden with her song Tattoo when Liverpool hosted two years ago. Now the singer who’s racked up an amazing 2 billion streams is back in the city and performing again, this time at the 02 on Friday.

Fans of the men’s team can take a breather because there’s no match on this weekend, but there’s a big one for Everton women’s team on Saturday afternoon. The Blues take on bottom of the table Crystal Palace in the WSL for what looks like being an exciting game. Kick off is 2pm at Walton Hall Park.
