And even if the hot spell doesnât last much longer, you can always drop into the impressive Southport Market, which has a massive indoor area as well as plentiful outdoor seating.
Itâs easily reached by train, with the station just a few minutes away on foot and even a new 15 minute service on a Sunday between Liverpool and Southport during the summer.
It’s the perfect for a relaxed brunch, tasty lunch or evening meal and drinks.

Open Mic Night (June 15, 6.30pm – 9pm)
Dave Aston and White Noise Music Studios bring a brilliant open mic night every first and third Thursday of the month. All are welcome to show off their musical talents. Sign-ups from 6pm and free entry.
Summer Artisan Market (June 17, 11am – 4pm)
Join PMM Events and more than 30 local independent makers here for a day of shopping, eating and drinking. The stalls will be selling textiles, jewellery, crafts, candles, homeware, gifts and more. Free entry.

Mama Mia: The Party (June 23 & 24, 7pm â 11pm)
The smash-hit musical comes to Southport Market. Nikos and his three waitresses are inviting avid Abba fans to enjoy the Mamma Mia experience. You will be treated to an evening of singing, Greek dancing, laughter and live music. Enjoy Greek street food fresh from Pitamu, Souvlaki, dips, salad, pitta and more.
