If you’re looking for sustainable gifts, little treats for yourself or to brighten up your home, then Tate Liverpool’s shop is full of fabulous ideas. Watch above as we meet Assistant Manger Nicola to find out what you can expect.
Down at the Royal Albert Dock, it’s got a brilliant selection of art-inspired gifts which are often made in collaboration with artists and designers so they’re perfect if you’re looking for something that really shows some extra thought.
It has a great choice of half price prints so you can get yourself a bargain and take a little bit of art home. And there’s a fantastic book section, beautiful items for children and art supplies to bring out your inner artist too!
Here are 5 things we think you’ll love about Tate Liverpool’s shop:
1.The shop stocks amazing products by local makers like this Royal Albert Dock pin by Amy Collins of Pin Head – creator of brilliant enamel pins, based here in Liverpool in the Baltic Triangle.
2.Look out for #TateBookOfTheMonth – an unmissable read selected by the Tate team. The current #TateBookOfTheMonth is Bloom: Art, Flowers and Emotion which features one hundred of the most beautiful floral works from Tate’s collection. Designed to encourage mindfulness, this is a book that’s sure to bring a little calm and joy everyone who reads it. Look out for special #TateBookOfTheMoth events with discussion and insights from writers, artists and experts.
3.Own your own little piece of art … for less! You can pick up some half price prints of classic works from the Tate collection (whilst stocks last), like Matisse’s colourful The Snail.
4.The shop features products inspired by art in the gallery including the work of artist Aliza Nisenbaum whose portraits of Merseyside’s NHS workers are on display now at Tate Liverpool. That exhibition also features a series of floral paintings, made by the artist in homage to the dedication of our NHS staff during the pandemic, and you can take home a tote or T-shirt featuring these designs from the shop. The items are all made in the UK using Fairtrade cotton.

5.Tate Liverpool’s shop sources from sustainable suppliers and encourages reusing and recycling. If you spend £25 or more, you receive a free Tate tote bag. And, did you know the shop will recycle your clothes? Bring in an old T-shirt and you’ll get 10% off a new one.
See for yourself and head to Tate Liverpool’s shop from Tuesday – Sunday, 10am- 17.50pm.
