6 reasons to check in to the city’s chic new Halyard Hotel at Ropeworks Liverpool
6 months ago
The city’s got a great new hotel.
The Halyard Hotel at Ropewalks Liverpool is the first UK venue for IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury Vignette Collection.
General manager David Daly who’s at the helm of the 133-bedroom hotel says: “With exquisite interior design and unparalleled services, we provide the perfect sanctuary to discover all the city has in store.
“Our guests can bask in the essence of The Halyard, immersing themselves in the rich maritime history that echoes through this remarkable part of the city.”
It sounds, and looks, amazing. And if you need any more reasons to check in and check it out, here’s six:
Superb location
You’ll find The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool at 123 Duke Street, standing on the footprint of former 18th Century rope-making warehouses. Superbly central, it’s the perfect base from which to enjoy all the city has to offer, from the Royal Albert Dock and The Beatles Story to Mathew Street, the cathedrals, the museums and galleries, the football stadia and more. Or you can just relax and unwind in the hotel itself.
What’s in a name?
The hotel’s identity is anchored in Liverpool’s maritime heritage, and its name ‘Halyard’ is a nautical term for a rope knot. More than that, its industrial interiors reflect the elegance inspired by the grandeur of 18th Century mercantile leaders, while flairs of vibrant colour reflect too the artists and musicians who’ve made Liverpool famous around the world.
A-list amenities
As well as three types of luxurious rooms which pay homage to the city’s creative character – like Liverpool toy manufacturer Meccano – and artworks that reflect local landmarks and artists, The Halyard at Ropewalks offers outstanding service as standard and incredible amenities. The rooftop fitness suite, for instance, gives stunning panoramic views of the waterfront that’ll make your Peloton workout easier to endure and your sunrise yoga session even more relaxing and enjoyable.
It’s part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ new luxury Vignette Collection
And the first of the Collection in the UK! The collection from the globally-renowned hotel group was launched in August 2021 with, now, six hotels that are unique and distinct, and have a story to tell. Each Vignette Collection hotel has its own ‘A Means For Good’ initiative too, to support the communities in which they operate, and The Halyard at Ropewalks will offer complimentary experiences through the Mytime charity which provides respite to unpaid carers through leisure, culture, and educational activities.
Delicious dining
The hotel boasts a 200-seater Voyagers restaurant, bar and lounge which is open to everyone, and will be serving up a mouthwatering menu that’s inspired by the cultural influences of the city.
IHG rewards and offers
As if it wasn’t enough to treat yourself to a visit to this fabulous new hotel, IHG treat you right back, with a Reward scheme that enables you to earn points with each stay that you can redeem for hotel experiences and gives you members’ discounts and deals. There are also great packages like ‘Stage and Stay’ which offers an overnight stay and early dining menu, taxi to your chosen Liverpool city centre theatre or concert venue, and breakfast the following morning with a relaxed 1pm checkout from £169.
