6 Things you didn’t know about Liverpool’s only mobile Christmas grotto: The Santa Bus

You might think you’ve seen it all when it comes to Christmas Grotto’s, from shopping and garden centres to farms and country parks, but we’ll bet our last mince pie that you haven’t seen a mobile one!

Liverpool City Sights, who operate the red, open-top buses that tour the city hot-spots, have created The Santa Bus, and it’s absolutely brilliant!

Topped with reindeer, a huge sleigh and over a mile of twinkly lights, you can’t miss The Santa Bus as it drives around the city before parking up to greet queues of excited children on the waterfront.

Why not visit Santa in a totally unique location this Christmas? Here’s 6 things you didn’t know about The Santa Bus, to get you in the festive mood!

The Guide Liverpool - The Santa Bus

1 – The Santa Bus is parked up on the Pier Head every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm-7pm, until the 15th December when the grotto will then be open daily right up until Christmas Eve.

2 – Tickets are £10 for kids (parents get on board for free) and not only get you a chat with the big man himself, but also a goody bag filled with at least 3 gifts, a photo to remember your visit…AND a free child ticket for the Liverpool City Sights Open Top Bus Tour! How good is that?

3 – The Santa Bus elves also allow parents to take their own photo’s using camera’s and phones too, so you can share your ‘elfies’ on social media, straight away! Don’t forget to get a pic with Frosty and Rudolph too!

5 – The Santa Bus is also available for morning private hire use, imagine this spectacle turning up at your work place, community centre or school on the run up to Christmas. Even Scrooge himself would crack a smile!

6 – Endorsed by Visit Liverpool, you can share your pics of The Santa Bus on social media using the hashtag #OneMagicalCity . See if you can spot Santa on top of The Santa Bus as he takes the reindeer out for a spin around the city!
