What a weekend! The Christmas count-down is officially on, we picked up a few Black Friday bargains, danced ourselves silly on the waterfront, sailed the seven seas and paid tribute to some incredibly special scousers. This is the weekend in Liverpool, in 6 tweets.

The sun shone down on Liverpool ONE as loads of us went wild in the aisles on Black Friday, picking up bargains and Christmas prezzies with a beautiful soundtrack from the Sing Me Merseyside and local choirs across the L1 site, it was so festive!

Opening night standing ovation for #TheScouseNativity! They went and smashed it out of the park. Well done to all cast and crew! pic.twitter.com/eyctkoCiiS

The opening night of The Scouse Nativity went down a storm at The Royal Court as audiences were on their feet applauding what we’re calling this winter’s unmissable scouse comedy. You’ve simply got to find out how Angela Gabrielle, a shark tail and a donkey on wheels get to Bethlehem!

Having staged three unforgettable nights and brought legends Martin Garrix, Armin Van Burren and the unforgettable Cream Classical to the epic super structure that is Steel Yard at Liverpool Waters, Creamfields thanked us for the memories, after thousands of us, including our three competition winners raised the roof. Send us your Creamfields Steel Yard photies @TheGuideLpool and we’ll share the best.

It seems like just a couple of weeks ago since we lined the Mersey to watch the official start of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race when in actual fact, Liverpool 2018 and fellow Clipper teams have been racing around the globe for almost 5 months! The weather looks better in Freemantle, Australia than here right now! Watch all the action from the Albert Dock race start here.
5 – Hillsborough Survivors Tribute
A special commemorative plaque paying tribute to Hillsborough survivors who helped rescue fans is unveiled at Central Station in Liverpool.
The permanent tribute is the final wish of the late campaigner Anne Williams, who lost her 15-year-old son, Kevin, in the disaster. pic.twitter.com/PrzxJaudz9

We’re so, so made up to see a commemorative plaque has been unveiled at Central Station this weekend paying tribute to the fearless Hillsborough survivors who battled to help and rescue injured fans. We hope everyone coming in and out of the city, through the station or otherwise will take a minute to remember them too ❤︎
6 – Crazy Pedro’s gains fans across the city
Pretty damn fine if you ask me @CrazyPedros pic.twitter.com/BZztYsyqqs
— El Scouse (@elscouse) November 25, 2017
The city’s newest pizza joint, Crazy Pedro’s is certainly living up to it’s name and we are loving it! A weekend in Liverpool wouldn’t be right without a slice of The Gringo, or maybe you’re more of a Ducky Fuzz kinda guy? Either way this weird and wonderful Parr Street eatery is gaining an army of supporters fast!
