6 ways you can still get your favourite LEAF fix now Bold Street has closed
4 hours ago

Liverpool said goodbye to one of its most-loved independent venues at the weekend when LEAF on Bold Street closed after 15 years.
There’ve been some amazing nights, live music, food shared, drinks had and just great memories made in the place over the past decade and a half.
But it’s not all sad news, because LEAF owners have other venues around the city so lots of the things that made the original so special are still going strong.
If you’re missing it already, here are 6 ways you can get your favourite LEAF fix now Bold Street has closed…
Pudding Club at LEAF Smithdown

Pudding Clubs have been one of the most popular events at LEAF, winning over hundreds of sweet treat fans with five courses of desserts (who needs a main?) each paired with a loose leaf tea blend. The Pudding Club has witnessed some fabulous puds over the years, from retro classics like cherry Bakewell to more experimental fine dining-style desserts made using the best of ingredients that are in season. The good news is that Pudding Club is carrying on at LEAF Smithdown so get your spoons handy because the next edition is coming soon.
Brunch and roasts at Little LEAF

Roasts and weekend brunches were always big on Bold Street and now you can find them in Little LEAF at the other end of town, behind Exchange Flags on Old Hall Street. It’s already a go-to in the business district for midweek lunches or a quick coffee, but from this weekend it’s opening seven days a week, serving brunch on Saturdays and brunch and classic roasts with all the trimmings on Sundays. If you’re in the south end, you can get them on Smithdown too, give yourself a longer lie-in and then head for a walk in nearby Greenbank Park.
Afternoon teas at Oh Me Oh My – and drinks on the rooftop

Oh Me Oh My on Water Street, on the corner opposite the Liver Building, is known for its gorgeous weddings and other celebrations but you can still enjoy it even if you’ve not got a party planned. The space downstairs regularly hosts events including themed afternoon teas – we especially love the disco one, but who doesn’t love scones and fizz under a glitterball? Goodness Gracious rooftop bar above is getting to the end of its summer season, but it should be back open by April 2026 and time flies when you’re dreaming of sunny cocktails.
Thursday night quizzing at LEAF Smithdown

Brainiacs won’t need telling about LEAF Smithdown’s Thursday Quiz, it’ll already be in their weekly planner – but just in case you haven’t challenged yourself against some of the finest quizzers in the city yet, get your team together and head to Smithdown for questions from telly quiz veteran James MacGregor who hosts from 8pm on Thursdays. There are great prizes up for grabs but be warned, the competition’s tough.
Pre-match beers at Little LEAF

The Blues Hill Dickinson stadium opening has meant lots of places in the city centre are now ideal for pre-match drinks and that includes Little LEAF on Old Hall Street. Tying in with its new weekend opening, it launched pre-match beers in time for the start of the season in Everton’s new home, plus tasty bakes to either eat in or takeaway and have on the walk, including delicious homemade sausage rolls.
Tea…

LEAF, like the name suggests, was built on a love of quality loose leaf tea and it’s still at the heart of all the venues. Even without Bold Street, where there’s tea there’s hope.
Pudding Club returns at Little LEAF

Join Little LEAF for a cosy evening of indulgence with 5 autumn-inspired courses of dessert for just £25. Think rich flavours, seasonal treats and all the comfort you need as the nights draw in.
