Advertorial
Fee Fi Fo Fum! Weâre excitedly counting down the days to Christmas and if anythingâs going to add more sparkle to the festive season, itâs a good old panto.
It gives us the chance to have a fab sing song, a great laugh, and embrace one of the most loved traditions. Jack and the Beanstalk is one of the finest and funniest, and itâs on at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton until Sunday, January 7 – and if you need any more reasons to get it booked now to guarantee your seat ⊠hereâs 7!
The production features a brilliant cast full of faces you’ll recognise
And where do we start? Itâs got an amazing cast led by Corrie and Emmerdale star, and Dancing on Ice winner, Hayley Tamaddon. Hayley plays the Vegetable Fairy in this great new version of the panto, but hers isnât the only face youâll spot. Blood Brothersâ favourites Sean Jones and Joe Sleight are joining her as Simple Simon and Jack himself, and CBeebiesâ Joseph Elliott is braving the boos as the evil Fleshcreep in this lavish production.
The show is a classic story that everyone will enjoy
Who doesnât love the age-old tale of Jack who swaps the family cow for a handful of âworthlessâ beans which turn out to be magic?! Except this is panto so thereâs a bit of a twist on this classic so take note: on their farm in Merrydale, hero Jack, his mother Dame Trot, and his brother Simon haven’t a bean to their name, their friendly cow Daisy has gone dry and, worse still, the village is being destroyed by an evil giant. His wicked henchman Fleshcreep steals the magic harp of Merrydale and kidnaps the beautiful princess, leaving Jack to try and save the day. Itâs all going onâŠ
The show features spectacular 3D effects, stunning lighting, fabulous costumes, and a brilliant set
Prepare to be dazzled because this panto is taking things up a notch â or several. There are loads of special 3D effects to bring a brilliant story to life, amazing costumes combining fairytale glitz and glamour with fantastically fun outfits like those worn by Dame Trott (Oliver Brooks), and a superb set that transports you to the farm and beyond.
The show is happening at the brilliant Floral Pavilion in New Brighton and you’re guaranteed a great view from every seat
The Floral Pavilion is a lovely theatre with friendly staff whoâll greet you with the biggest smiles â and with no pillars youâll have a panoramic view of the stage and all the slap-stick, laugh-out-loud action from wherever youâre sitting. Plus, why not start your evening or afternoon with a meal to make it an even greater day out? You can enjoy a festive feast in the stunning Panoramic Lounge with selection of childrenâs meals on offer and plenty of colouring to keep them entertained, and you can relax knowing youâre only a stoneâs throw away from the theatre doors.
Fun for the whole family with jokes that both kids and adults will appreciate
Panto is panto which means that while itâs seemingly aimed at the kids, thereâs plenty for adults to enjoy aswell, and not least the double-entendres and sneaky asides thatâll have the grown-ups in helpless giggles too. Worry not though, because itâs good clean fun (and not just because thereâs bound to be a point where some members of the audience get a little bit wet!).
There are BSL and relaxed performances that you can book too
No one wants to be left out â and why should they? There are signed performances of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Floral Pavilion and relaxed performances so those with special needs can enjoy all the fun without getting anxious and stressed and feel welcomed.
