WATCH: PINS Social Club on Duke Street gets set for launch

PINS Social Club, officially opens this weekend and is promising to shake up your next night out with a healthy dose of competitive socialising.

From premium bowling, American pool, ping pong, beer pong, live entertainment and exceptional dining, PINS is set to be Duke Street’s newest immersive playground.

Daniel Gillbanks and David Scowcroft, the minds behind PINS Social Club, have renovated a multi-storey car park to house their dynamic hub of competitive socialising. One of the most hotly-anticipated social spots in the city, the venue is inspired by Daniel and David’s time spent road-tripping across America in search of the finest bowling venues, iconic cocktail bars and incredible restaurants.

So, in the name of that elusive ten-pin lucky strike, let’s rack up some reasons why PINS Social Club is set to rock Duke Street…

1 - The Golden Era of Bowling

PINS Social Club is inspired by the golden era of bowling – a time when bowlers reigned supreme, when star players were celebrated like heroes and their next victory was only a strike away.

The venue pays homage to bowling’s heyday in the ‘50s and ‘60s, when it was considered the height of social recreation, and it’s exactly this kind of scene that PINS Social Club is bringing to the city. But the fun doesn’t stop at bowling…

2 - Food

When it comes to food, PINS Social Club have perfected the formula. They’ve teamed up with Red & Blue Restaurants, one of Liverpool’s best-loved independents, to bring the very best in quality. Bacaro will be offering hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas and flatbreads, and Rocket & Ruby will be serving up classic bowling alley favourites, from gourmet burgers to hotdogs.

As well as having a dedicated restaurant area, the Lanes Menu allows you to taste the best of both vendors while scoring strikes on the lanes! Designed around sharing, it features frickles with a creamy ranch dip, chilli fried chicken bites, mac and cheese croquettes, loaded nachos and more – and with waiter service, you won’t be taking your eye off the ball.

3 - Games

PINS Social Club describes itself as your offline social network, harking back to a time when socialising got competitive without a console. Along with 12 full-sized bowling lanes, you get to chance your hand at American pool and shuffleboard, or head to the ping pong room for a night of playing for points, battling over bats and getting even with a good, old grudge match!

4 - Karaoke

Regular live music is bound to get you in the mood to grab the mic, so if that’s the case, knock ‘em dead with your best Beyonce or belt out a ballad in PINS Social Club’s custom-built, private karaoke room. It’s guaranteed to get the crowd in full-swing – plus, their drinks packages include freshly-made cocktails and quality draught beer to make sure no-one goes thirsty behind the mic.

5 - Design

The PINS Social Club aesthetic is a nostalgic recreation of the halcyon days of the ‘50s and ‘60s American bowling alley, but with a contemporary twist. Inspired by iconic venues on their American road trip, from the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood to Highland Park Bowl in Los Angeles, the venue’s design harks back to Art Deco and regency styles with Chesterfield sofas, wood panelling and sleek, modern finishings.

6 - The Spare Room

Head upstairs to the venue’s mezzanine level, The Spare Room, where you’ll find a further 4 full-sized bowling lanes which are available for private hire for birthdays, celebrations, corporate events, or just for the sheer, fun-lovin’ sake of it. With a range of activities on offer, it’s the perfect destination whatever the occasion!

7 - The Bar

With their unique drinks menu, including classic cocktails, fantastic house creations, sodas and a variety of milkshakes, the bar at PINS Social Club is a destination in itself. Boasting an extensive range of back bar spirits, beers and wines, the venue is a prime spot for the discerning drinker, spritz lovers or anyone who likes a damn, good drink! Get ready to unwind on the lanes, kick back with a cocktail or book one of their exclusive booths to enjoy live music and make a real night of it…
