We’re fully in the throes of the festival season now but never fear, you don’t have to head to a field to see some great music in July.
There is still a brilliant line up planned for Liverpool for the summer.
Here are seven gigs not to miss in July.
Rival Sons

2nd July
Liverpool University Mountford Hall
The Californian rockers bring their show to Liverpool as part of an extensive European tour.
One of the hardest working bands in music will also spend part of 2025 supporting Guns and Roses.
But this is your opportunity to see their headline show and they can’t wait to come to town.
Frontman Jay Buchanan said:
“What a great run to look forward to with a couple of new places to see. I’m so grateful for how far this music we’ve created continues to take us.”

8th July
Jacaranda Baltic
Since bursting onto the scene in 2007 with songs like Mr Rock ‘n Roll and This is the Life, the Scottish singer has consistently turned out top tracks and put on great live gigs.
Catch this intimate performance in support of her new album Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For? You might also catch a classic song or two.

Arts Club, Seel Street
The Canadian singer song writer will perform her brand of arty pop at the Arts Club.
With influences like Bjork and Cyndi Lauper, she describes her sound as “soaring pop, border line theatrical Disney”.

A Celebration of Zoe’s Place

17th July
M&S Bank Arena
A one night only performance by a host of Liverpool’s best artists including Jamie Webster, Ian McCulloch, Rebecca Ferguson, The Zutons, Lightning Seeds, The Real Thing, and the Sense of Sound Singers.
Each will perform a mix of iconic hits, with the 66-piece Orchestra delivering a specially curated Liverpool soundtrack.
Hosted by comedian Adam Rowe and radio presenter Leanne Campbell – this event is more than just a concert. It’s a celebration of the community spirit and compassion that saved the children’s hospice and a thank you to those who made it happened.

19th July
Future Yard, Birkenhead
The Bootfest all-dayer returns to Future Yard Garden stage headlined by Macclesfield trio Cassia.
Also featured on the bill are Permanent (Joy), Tilly Louise, Bayboards, Vincent’s Last Summer, Honey Motel, Hannah Mazey, Bite, Room Two and Cornerstone.

The Magic of Motown

19th July
Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
Back for its 20th anniversary tour, prepare to enjoy classic tracks like Reach Out and Baby Love from an array of brilliant tribute acts.
All the Motown classics feature from tributes to artists like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops and more.

The frontman of Amsterdam and indie cult band Pele brings his carefully crafted tunes to the Music Room for a very special gig.
