8 of the best places to drink Rum in Liverpool

Feed your inner Captain Jack Sparrow and raise a glass of rum this summer in Liverpool.

Liverpool has a rich maritime history and has long embraced exotic imports from far away lands, none more so than Rum. From your first Pina Colada on holiday in Benidorm, to endless rounds of Mojito’s with the girls on a Friday night, Rum has likely played a pivotal part in your social life. The perfect base for exotic cocktails that remind us of holidays, rum is made from natural sugar cane, so while it’s sweet, it’s practically fruit!

We’re rounded up some of our favourite Liverpool bars where the selection of rum and rum cocktails will take you right back to sandy shores and brilliant nights out. What are you having?

Here’s 8 of the best places to drink rum in Liverpool….

1 – The Smugglers Cove, Albert Dock

When it comes to drinking rum in a rum bar, it doesn’t get more authentic than at The Smugglers Cove, Albert Dock! They have their own monthly rum club where fans get to explore different regions of rum producers (next up is Cuba) plus a range of cocktails that will get your tastebuds tingling. More info here.

2 – Titanic Hotel, Rum Bar

Staying with the nautical theme, Titanic Hotel has it’s very own Rum Bar where you can enjoy a tipple overlooking Stanley Dock (and former maritime rum store!). Offering up 5 brand new rum themed cocktails this Summer, the Rum Bar is shaking up Barcadi, Mount Gay and a whole load of sugar for an authentic taste of the Caribbean. More here.

3 – Aloha Bar, Colquitt Street

7 – Jenny’s, Fenwick Street

Fancy you rum cocktail with a side of glitterball? Head downstairs to former seafood restaurant Jenny’s and into the darkness for rum and disco until the small hours. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask the bar staff to make you up a rum cocktail and let them go to town on the ingredients and presentation, you wont be disappointed. More on Jenny’s Bar here.
