8 Things you need to know about the CBBC Summer Social at Croxteth Park

All your favourite CBBC stars are coming to Croxteth Park this weekend.
Calling all CBBC and CBeebies fans! Croxteth Park is gearing up to host a three days festival packed with all the familiar faces, characters and shows and you’re invited! The CBBC Summer Social takes place on 3rd-5th August 2018 and is the only event to give 6-12 year olds and their families a fantastic line up of CBBC favourites alongside a raft of international music acts including Union J, HRVY and Johnny Orlando!

Whether you’ve got toddlers or tweens, there’s something for kids of all ages including Meet & Greet’s, live music, live animals, dance classes, potion classes, sing-a-longs and your chance to get vlogging tips from the pro’s!
With 40 live performances, 20 fun activities and 30 famous faces heading to Croxteth Park, here’s 8 things you need to know to plan your visit to the CBBC Summer Social…..
1 – Who’s Coming?
If you’re kids love The Next Step, The Worst Witch, Mr Tumble, Mr Bloom, Dr Ranj, Blue Peter, Rory & Fearne’s My Pet & Me and Operation Ouch, they’re going to love this opportunity to step inside the tv and experience their fave shows right here in Liverpool.
2 – Getting There
Croxteth Park is easily accessible with the Arriva North West bus network. Catch the 18 bus from Queen Square or Paradise St bus stations and get dropped off directly opposite the park, plan your bus journey here. If you’re driving you’ll need a car parking ticket available here.
3 – Meet & Greets

4 – Festival Facilities
We all know that days out with the kids requires packing everything but the kitchen sink, but the CBBC Summer Social team have made life easier with onsite festival facilities. There’s free drinking water, a range of food and drink stalls, nappy changing, cloakroom and even somewhere to warm up baby food! All the FAQ’s here.
5 – Do’s & Don’ts
Do bring a picnic, but don’t bring glass bottles or alcohol. Don’t bring scooters or bikes, there’s loads of activities to get involved in! We’re hoping for sunshine and blue skies, but even if there’s the odd shower, don’t bring golf umbrellas, just put your hood up and stick your wellies on. Festival security info here.

Everyone loves a good bedtime, adventure or heart warming story and the CBBC Summer Social is giving you the opportunity to meet some of our favourite authors at Croxteth Hall. Get your favourite book signed and get tips on how to write a best seller. More info here.
