It’s always billed as the most romantic day of the year, but there’s no rule that says you’ve got to spend Valentine’s all loved-up with just one special person.


Especially not when there’s so much going on in Liverpool you could be doing with your mates instead.

So, if you’re single or just prefer not to do the couply thing around Valentine’s night, here are 8 ways to celebrate without a date …

Gin Journey Liverpool – Valentine’s Day Special

This one’s on Sunday Feb 16, so you can fit in a mates date with lots of gin as well as a partner one if you fancy. The Gin Journey includes a tour around the city centre, with a bit of boozy history, five samples of gin, five cocktails and a chauffeur taking you between them. From 1pm-5.30pm.

Valentine’s Macabre at the Fashion Hub

Why have romance when you could have horror? On Friday the 14th, Fashion Hub on Gildart Street is having a gory evening of horror and anti-Valentine’s music including a screening of The Fly and a few Valentine’s themed short films which have been handpicked by Liverpool Horror Club.
