9 Family attractions to check out this Halloween in Liverpool

Stock up on the Haribo and get carving those pumpkins, Halloween in Liverpool is going to be ghoulishly-good!

There’s so many different ways to celebrate Halloween in Liverpool this year, whether you’re sticking your wellies on for  spooky walk in the park or busting some monster moves at a disco, with free family film sessions, a wizard school and adventures in Stanley Park, we’re pretty sure there’s something for every little devil to enjoy.

Here’s our top 9 family Halloween events to check out this October…..

1 – Halloween Party in the Palm House with Jumping Jacks

Jumping Jacks Parties will be bringing lots of spooky fun and games for all ages with all of your fave Halloween party dances to Sefton Park Palm House on Tuesday 31st October from 5pm. Tickets are just £5 and with special guests, balloon swords and tonnes of prize giveaway, get your tickets here before they sell out.

2 – Roy Castle Spooky Welly Walk, Sefton Park

The Roy Castle Spooky Welly Walk is back at both Sefton Park and Sherdley Park, St Helens this Halloween and it’s just £4 for tickets if you book in advance. Little witches, vampires and skeletons too are invited to take part in this fun trail, have a boogie, get some terrifying tattoos and more on Saturday 21st and 28th October. Info here.

3 – The Enchantment of Chester Zoo

The sorcerer is back at Chester Zoo (okay okay it’s not Liverpool but it’s close enough) and has cast a spell to send the zoo to sleep. Luckily the wise old owls have uncovered his dastardly plot but they need your help to break the spell. Back for its second year and better than ever, The Enchantment of Chester Zoo is full of adventure, acrobatics, music and discovery. Suitable for little ones 3 and up, this Halloween attraction is free with Zoo entry and runs from 21st to 31st October. Find out more here.

4 – Southport Halloween Festival

Southport’s Halloween Festival is back, bigger and better than ever and half-term is about to get seriously spooky. From 20th – 31st October expect giant wandering spiders, monster petting zoo’s freak shows and even some Harry Potter magic as a whole series of events play out across the town. 5 – Halloween Craft Club, Wigwam Coffee Shop

Join in the Wigwam Coffee Shop Sunday craft sessions with some Halloween make and do fun on Sunday 22nd October at 10:30am. Its £6 per child and if you’ve never been before, this Rose Lane Coffee Shop and kid friendly play centre will definitely become you go to for rainy day fun. More info here.

6 – Witches & Wizardry School of Excellence, Constellations

Interactive children’s theatre show, Witches & Wizardry School of Excellence comes to Constellations, Baltic Triangle on Sunday 29th October with 4 sessions for your little ones to enjoy. Prepare to be taken on a magical journey making spells, solving riddles and waving that wand like a pro! More info and booking here.

7 – Halloween Family Saturday Victoria Gallery

The Victoria Gallery and Museum, Ashton Street is adding a little ghoulish behaviour to its family Saturday on 28th October. Catch family film Hotel Transylvania 2 at 10:30am before having a go at the crafta ctivity drop in from 1-4pm and celebrate Halloween with ‘Spooky Science!’ Make your own spiders webs, slime bugs and other magic, horrible or spooky items, using alchemy and a little bit of witchcraft! 8 – Angels and Scallies Halloween Spooktacular

There’s so much to do at the Angels and Scallies Halloween Spooktacular on Sunday 29th October at St Margaret Mary’s Parish Club in Dovecot. For £15 a head your kids get three hours of partying, character visits, prizes for fancy dress, face painting, glitter tattoos and more. Limited places left so click here to book yours now.

9 – Captain Scaredypants and the Halloween Hiccup at Stanley Park

There’s two brilliant interactive shows (with dinner) taking place at the Isla Gladstone Conservatory, Stanley Park on 25th October as Captain Scaredypants and the Halloween Hiccup comes to life. Famed for putting on fantastic, family-friendly productions, The Bookworm Players will thrill and delight guests of all ages with this Halloween adventure. Tickets and info here.
