The thrilling Southport Air Show returns to the skies and seafront this September with a packed programme of entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
If you’re looking for a thrilling family day out that won’t break the bank, now is the time to get your tickets for Southport Air Show 2019. Returning to the seafront from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th September, this years show includes aerial acrobatics and family fun down on the beach, with something for everyone.
Historical aircraft, parachute displays, acrobatics, fireworks and a whole Air Show Village packed with attractions, all combine for one umissable weekend at the seaside.

Here’s 9 things you need to know about the Southport Air Show 2019…
1 –Â All About OTTO
The Southport Air Show brings some of the most impressive and historical aircraft to the North West shoreline every year. This September, swapping wings for blades, OTTO the Helicopter has performed and thrilled crowds around the world. As well as daytime displays, this nifty little helicopter also performs amazing evening displays with spectacular pyrotechnic effects. Find out more here.
2 – Air Show Village
At the centre of the event you will find the Air Show Village with stalls selling an eclectic mix of gifts, sweets, models, military clothing and official Red Arrows Merchandise. Kids will be entertained with water walkers, helter skelter slide, inflatable assault course and total wipe out game. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the stunning Lytham St Annes replica Spitfire. 3 – Fireflies Aerobatic Team
The skies above Southport will light up on Friday night with a jaw-dropping performance from the Fireflies Aerobatic Team. Weighing less than a third of the weight of a VW Golf car, these lightweight, dynamic aircraft will reach speeds of 160mph while wowing the crowds. More here.Â
4 – The Lancaster Lounge
Take your Southport Air Show experience to the next level and book premier tickets for The Lancaster Lounge. Situated next to the historic Southport Pier, The Lancaster Lounge experience includes nearby parking, souvenir programme and pass, hot and cold refreshments within the marquee and the best seat in the house (other than next to the pilot!) from the pier. Prepare to gasp, cheer and applaud as the incredible Tigers Army Parachute Display Team hurtle towards the beach in style as part of their Southport Air Show appearance. It’s not just eyes on the skies at Southport Air Show. The beach area will be packed with fun activities for the kids. 7 – Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
A truly unmissable Southport Air Show event, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight includes fly-bys from the Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota. Military aircraft fans, personnel and veterans alike won’t want to miss this one. Keep your eyes peeled here for official flight times.
8 – Food & Drink

9 – Tickets
For as little as ÂŁ6.50 you can enjoy a whole day of entertainment. Children under 5 go free and do not require a ticket. Parking for coaches is free however car parking is extra and can be booked at the same time as admission tickets. Get yours here.
