9 Things That Make Tom Hall’s Tavern Awesome

Have you seen the phoenix that’s risen from the ashes in the shape of sports bar and live music venue, Tom Hall’s Tavern?

Once a big hitter on the 1950’s Liverpool nightclub scene, the bar has undergone a £400,000 refurb and is now all about 2016 and chill.

We’ve checked out the bar (and even played a bit of pool) to bring you 9 reasons why Tom Hall’s Tavern is the best place to kick back with your mates.

1 – Parties

The Guide Liverpool - Tom Hall;s Tavern Boxing Night

Tom Hall’s Tavern love to throw parties and this week alone there’s a huge after show gig planned to coincide with ‘A Celebration of The Jam’  at the Echo Arena with a full day of live music and tribute bands. Tickets are only £10. And for those who missed out on tickets for the Bellew V Florres fight (also at the Echo Arena) on October 15th, you can watch the fight live in the comfort of your very own booth! Tickets available from the Tom Hall’s Tavern Facebook Page here.

2 – Big Screen Action

More sport you could volley a casey at! Tom Hall’s Tavern shows all Everton and Liverpool games as standard and shows a huge range of other sporting events from international football, cricket, boxing, horse racing and Formula One. Get your mates together and watch the match surrounded by history and a great atmosphere.

3- Food For Thought

The Menu at Tom Hall’s Tavern is varied and stuffed with pub-friendly favourites. From loaded nachos, potato-toppers and generous portions of winter soup, to burgers, steaks and healthy salads, there’s something for every appetite. With a junior menu there’s also plenty of options for little ones, and at £3.95 for a main and ice-cream, its affordable too!

4 – Rocking Out

A varied and diverse live music line-up from local celebrated musicians and national guest artists take to the Tom Hall’s Tavern stage each week. They have a full programme of live music each Friday and Saturday from 7pm -11pm with over seven hours of back to back acts every Sunday from 4pm. Check out their Facebook page and blog for all the info on the line-up and special events.

5 – Two Thumbs Up

Tom Hall’s Tavern already has a huge following on social media. Some loyal punters remember drinking in the tavern more than 30 years ago and give the recent refurb two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Happy customers have labelled the bar as ‘One of the best places in town’ and said ‘Great job on the renovations, we made excellent use of the brand new dance floor’. Can’t say fairer than that, can you?

6 – Pool Party

Okay this point is literally just two lines. Tom Hall’s Tavern has pool tables! Up the ante at half time with a mini tournament, or flirt your way around the table on a first date, we just cant resist the lure of chalking a cue and potting a few balls.

7 – Location

Taking in the breathtaking views of the Three Graces and peeking across to the River Mersey, Tom Hall’s Tavern is ready to be taken into the hearts of Liverpudlians once again. Situated at the bottom of Brunswick Street and The Strand, this modern sports and live music bar is a perfect city watering hole for sports fans, city slickers and tourists alike! Grab a cab outside or walk just two mins to James Street station for a safe journey home.

8 – Hitting the High Notes

Significant investment has been made into the Martin Audio sound system at Tom Hall’s Tavern which is one of the most celebrated and revered music technology companies in the world. Their innovative system allows musicians to ‘plug in and play’, without the need for lengthy set up and striking of the stage! With exciting weekly line-ups of local bands and acts from girl group Harmony to Soul Jam and Sandy and Danny Fitz, customers absolutely love the live music!

To book a booth, event tickets or your very own plug in and play session, call Tom Hall’s Tavern on 0151 227 2268 or check out their website for menu’s and opening times here.
