North West Cancer Research and Brown Turner Ross join forces to support local cancer research

North West Cancer Research is pleased to announce law firm, Brown Turner Ross as a sponsor of their annual Cycle of Hope ride.

The event, which will take place on 4th July 2021, will start and finish at Southport Rugby Club and will offer participants either a gentle 60km route or a more challenging 60mile course.

All money raised from the challenge will support life-saving cancer research and education projects in the North West.

Alistair Richards, CEO North West Cancer Research said:

“On behalf of the charity, I would like to thank the team at Brown Turner Ross for their support for Cycle of Hope.

“This year has been tough for everyone, especially people who are undergoing or waiting for cancer treatment so research into better and kinder treatments has never been more vital.

“We hope as many cyclists as possible will join us to show their support for life-saving research!”

Law firm Brown Turner Ross operate from offices in Liverpool and Southport. They were established back in 1884 and today offer a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals & business clients.

A team of eight colleagues and friends from the firm will join the hundreds of cyclists on the day, taking on the fight against cancer. In addition to the firm’s sponsorship, the team are hoping to raise over a £1,000 and have a number of fundraising activities planned in the run up to the cycle.

Sam Bushell, Managing Director of Brown Turner Ross, said: “Cycle of Hope is a fantastic event to be a part of and we are proud to support North West Cancer Research and its mission of a cancer-free future for the region.

“Many of our employees have signed up to take part and those who haven’t will be supporting in whatever way we can – there will definitely be a few Brown Turner Ross faces cheering on the cyclists in July! After a year where everyone’s purse strings have been tight, this is a great opportunity for people from across the region to come together and do what we can, whether that is getting on your bike or donating.”

North West Cancer Research is an independent charity dedicated to putting the region’s cancer needs first by funding pioneering research and education to tackle the cause, improve the care and find the cure for cancer.

Entries for the year’s Cycle of Hope are now open and cost just £20 per person to enter, with a minimum fundraising requirement of £30. All participants will receive a medal.
