Wirral Merseyrail passengers and their furry friends can now enjoy breakfast together after a new dog-friendly coffee shop opened at Hoylake train station.
Flissyâs @ The Station officially opened with a ceremonial ribbon cutting attended by owners Felicity Dean and Andy Dean and Merseyrail Deputy Managing Director Jane English.
Felicity, who lives on the Wirral, already owns Flissyâs Coffee Shop at GJs in Thurstaston and hopes to bring the success to Hoylake.
The cafĂ© will help passengers to start their day the right way with a fresh cup of coffee and a delicious pastry or breakfast bap to keep warm on a winterâs day.
The fantastic artwork for the cafĂ© was created by Tom Corlett at Octowold Industries providing a nod to the areaâs notable landmarks.
However, it is not just commuters and Merseyrail passengers who can enjoy this fresh, local produce, snacks will be available for dog visitors also, including dog-friendly ice cream for those sunny summer days.
Speaking about her new venture, Felicity said: âI love the fact that we have teamed up with Merseyrail to open our second venture â it is an established brand and as a local businesswoman I feel extremely proud to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
âI have driven past Hoylake station for years and always said I would love to have that opportunity, so we are very excited to see what we can bring to Merseyrail and its customers.â
Jane English, Deputy Managing Director at Merseyrail, said:
âWe are pleased to welcome Fliss and her business to the Merseyrail network as we look to expand our commercial offering across our stations.
âFlissyâs will assist us in providing the best possible customer experience with some delicious snacks and beverages for our Hoylake commuters and we canât wait to hear what our passengers think.â
