We have put together some cheap and cheerful eats for you to get through those times when you just want a decent scran out, but don’t want to break the bank.Â
GPO – Metquarter
The GPO lunch menu is an absolute steal! You can order a dish from the majority of their food vendors and a drink for six quid! Each dish in the picture above is ÂŁ6 and the portion sizes are really good! You can get pizza’s, gyros, hot dogs, and more. The deal is available Monday-Friday from 12.00pm-5.00pm.Â

Longton Hall Farm Butchers – Bootle Strand
I know what you’re thinking: “a butchers for lunch?” Yes! A short train ride from Liverpool City Centre is Bootle New Strand station and over the road from there is the Bootle Strand. Inside this shopping centre is home to Longton Hall Butchers who are famous in the area for their salt & chilli chicken (more commonly known as “salt & pepper” – to us Scousers).Â
They do a deli counter filled with hot goods, from chicken pieces to sui mais, roast potatoes to French fries – you are sorted for you’re lunch and it is cheap as chips. There is always a big queue because everyone wants a piece of the chicken, don’t miss out on this hidden gem.Â

Baltic Market – Cains Brewery Village
Baltic Market is place for fussy friends and picky palates.It is the Home of Hafla Hafla’s amazing halloumi fries, frozen gin slush and Midnight Delivery’s bubble waffles. Each main is reasonably priced with decent portion sizes. Get your mates to order different dishes and try a bit of everything, that is the way forward.Â

One of Liverpool’s longest-established eateries, they’ve been serving the people of Liverpool for over 40 years. Always a queue outside it is that popular – but cheap prices and massive portions are what its all about. Did you know that Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams have all graced their tables… well now it’s your turn.Â

Derek’s – Allerton Road
The New York inspired sandwich bar serves up some proper big butties. Jam packed with filling it will set you up for the day. Their “Il Contadino” sandwich is very fantastic with; Mortadella, Smoked Cheddar, Piccalilli, Tomato, Mustard Mayo and Lettuce in a massive sub. The “Gabagool” will make even Tony Soprano jealous – prosciutto, capicola, balsamic glaze, green pesto, mozzarella, tomato, rocket – these guys know how to make a good sandwich.Â
