Award-winning dining, retail and leisure operator BOXPARK is to open a brand-new venue in Liverpool, making the group’s first BOXPARK-branded development outside of London.
Located in the historic Canning Hall as part of the Cains Brewery Village estate, in the city’s booming Baltic Triangle, BOXPARK Liverpool will be a brand-new all-day dining and entertainment venue.Â
Scheduled to launch in late 2023, the venue will be an exciting and vibrant addition to Liverpool’s buzzing food and drink scene whilst offering a unique programme of entertainment.
BOXPARK has agreed a 15-year lease with Cains Brewery Village for the site, which will be transformed into a stunning food hall and events destination featuring a large internal space with units set over the ground floor, a small internal mezzanine, and an external terrace.
Spanning 16,000 sq. ft and holding 400 internal covers plus 200 external covers, the proposals for BOXPARK Liverpool will include around 10 kitchen units, three internal bars with additional external bars. In addition, there will be a 5,430 sq. ft external terrace to offer al fresco dining and intimate events.
Famous for its diverse street food offering, independent retailers and iconic events, BOXPARK’s new venue aims to champion local businesses and talent with fantastic opportunities for both independent and established food operators, as well as artists, creators and performers from Liverpool.
The new scheme is set to deliver over 150 jobs whereby BOXPARK will work closely with the Liverpool City Council to promote local supply chain routes and recruitment.
BOXPARK Liverpool will be the first of its kind outside of London adding to the three current sites in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley.
BOXPARK CEO Simon Champion, comments on the exciting news:
