Christmas is coming ⌠and that doesnât just mean pressies and parties, but two amazing shows at the Everyman and Playhouse and something special for little theatregoers this year.
Not only will the Everyman be getting everyone singing and dancing in the aisles as usual with its Rock ânâ Roll Panto, itâs got an extra guest in residence for the festive season.
Downstairs from Thursday December 1 to Saturday December 3, children can meet the big man himself at Santaâs Grotto.
They can come and write their letters before being taken by the elves to share their wish lists with Santa, have a photo with him and receive a gift.
Timeslots between 10am and 4pm each day, for one or two children, should be pre-booked online.
Itâs all part of the magic that makes the Everyman and Playhouse the perfect venues for a Christmas trip out with the family or a group of mates.
Christmas in Liverpool wouldnât be quite the same without the mayhem and music of the cityâs best-loved festive theatre tradition â the Rock ânâ Roll Panto up on Hope Street.
This year the story being given a unique retelling is Red Riding Hood, written by Peter Rowe whoâs created an incredible 11 record-breaking Rock ânâ Roll Pantos.
In true Everyman style, thereâll be an ensemble cast taking all the acting roles and also playing all the instruments on stage, and a few familiar faces including Adam Keast will be making a welcome return.
Expect some spectacular theatrical effects too because for the first time the Rock ânâ Roll Panto will have a dedicated Circus Director, Jack Horner, who has worked with Cirque Du Soleil and Disney, as well as Moulin Rouge! The Musical in Londonâs West End.
Discover why the wolf is lurking in the woods, and what heâs got planned for Red and her grandma in a show packed with plot twists and turns, plus plenty of laughs and hits.
Red Riding Hood is brightening up everyoneâs Christmas â and those couple of weeks after too – at the Everyman from Friday November 25 to January 14.
To change things up from panto, this year you can enjoy the most entertaining history lesson youâll ever have courtesy of Six at the Playhouse.
The feelgood uplifting musical hands over the mic â and the girl power – to Henry VIIIâs six wives to tell their side of the stories we never got to read about in the history books.
Itâs a tale of the Tudors told in a very 21st century way, with a fabulous pop soundtrack celebrating the women behind the throne and calling out the King who did wrong by them all!
Grammy-nominated and having taken Broadway and the West End by storm, winning the 2022 Whatsonstage Award for Best West End Show, Six is returning to the Playhouse after a run that won rave reviews.
Proving the rhyme really should be Divorced Beheaded Live!, itâs at the Playhouse from Tuesday December 6 until Sunday January 8.
