Everton podcast gets fans excited for new stadium

Dan Meis is confident that Everton Stadium will enhance the famous Goodison roar.

The Club’s future home already dominates the north Liverpool skyline,  as the roof of the 52.888.-seater stadium continues to take shape.

And in a new Club podcast, Everton’s Stadium Concept Design Guardian spoke of his belief that when packed with raucous Evertonians, the acoustics will prove inspirational for the Blues and intimidating for opposing sides.

Meis said: “The new stadium is going to feel very intimate and incredibly loud and energetic. That was such a concern, because the power of Goodison to the play on the pitch is so important and I really wanted to make sure we could capture that.

“We were always very conscious of the roof providing more enclosure than what we have at Goodison, and the roof itself is pretty consistent, so we have looked at the acoustics of that.

“I think fans are going to be very surprised how loud this building is going to be and feeling like all that noise is right on top of the pitch.

“It’s a bigger building, but it’s not going to feel a lot bigger than Goodison. The good thing is that we are already quite a bit bigger than Goodison Park, so there are going to be more rowdy fans!”
