What Swifties say

Taylor Swift super-fan from Liscard Anna, 19, said she has been an avid Swiftie since she can remember, and is “buzzing” that Taylor is playing so close to home.

Anna said:

“I can’t wait for Taylor to come to Anfield, the fact that she’s just going to be like there… right there over the water is just mind-blowing to me!

“I have tickets to see her in London too, but Anfield is going to be next level! I am probably going to cry, I’m not even ashamed to admit it.

“The way she interacts with her fans is just so genuinely heartfelt. She goes out of her way to make us feel seen and appreciated, whether it’s through social media or surprise meet-and-greets. It’s clear she values our support.”

Mike, 32, Garston, said:

“What I love about her is her authenticity. She’s always true to herself, whether she’s writing about love, heartbreak, or like personal growth. Her honesty and vulnerability are so refreshing and it just makes me click instantly with the words she sings.

“I can’t really describe it. I just absolutely love her!”

Emily, from Glasgow, is travelling to Liverpool to see Taylor perform on opening night.

Emily, 28, said:

“I love Liverpool, I have family here. So when I saw that Taylor Swift was going to be in my home from home, how could I not get tickets?

“I love her because her music evolves with her. I’ve grown up listening to Taylor Swift, and it’s amazing how her songs have matured as I’ve gotten older. Each time she reinvents her sound or what she talks about within them, they still speak to me.”

Alex, 20, said:

“The reason I love her is because it’s admirable to see how she has evolved over the years with all her different albums. Like debut where it’s very country and very different to her most recent album.

“It’s all different versions and different sides to Taylor, and it’s great to be able to listen to all these different albums depending on what mood you’re in!”

The same team that delivered the best Eurovision in history is planning to create a special city experience for the tens of thousands of fans traveling from across the globe. As part of the city’s ‘Liverpool Loves’ campaign, the aim is to bring the entire city alive for the gigs, showcasing why Liverpool is the UK’s best major event city.

As part of the celebration, the Taylor Town Trail will be the centerpiece with 11 art installations, each inspired by a different Taylor Swift era. From Saturday 8 – Sunday 16 June, locations such as Liverpool ONE, Royal Albert Dock, and the Metquarter will host new works reflecting the style and stories of each album, creating amazing Swiftie Selfie locations.

These installations include:

  • A moss-covered grand piano representing the evermore era
  • A ‘red room’ symbolising the Red era
  • Giant hearts depicting the Lover era
  • A mural inspired by the number 13 and the Fearless era

Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team has partnered with creative social enterprise Make CIC and a host of artists and makers from across the Liverpool City Region to curate these installations. This initiative not only enhances the concert experience but also allows fans to immerse themselves in the various chapters of Taylor’s musical journey.

As the city prepares to welcome Taylor Swift and her legion of fans, Liverpool is set to showcase itself once again, reaffirming its status as a premier destination for major events.

Whether you’re a long-time Swiftie or a new fan, this is an experience not to be missed!
