Since the release of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, Oasis took the world by storm. After seven studio albums, two live albums and many world tours the sibling rivalries meant that the Gallagher brothers would eventually part ways in 2009. This has since lead to both brothers going on to form hugely successful solo careers even though their massive worldwide fan base still begs for a reunion of the band.
As We Were – The history of Oasis and beyond begins with a brief introduction before launching into the first section of the show.
The Rise – Performing songs from Knebworth, which was the biggest show Oasis ever played, the band have painstakingly sourced not just the original clothes, but the same guitars that were used as well. As they perform hand-picked songs from that era, synchronised video footage will be played that show the real band on stage performing the same songs, perfectly matching what the band are doing on stage.
The Rift – This section shows what happened in the aftermath of the shocking news that Noel Gallagher had decided to leave the band.
It will feature a short set of Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, then followed with set of Liam Gallagher solo material.
The Reunion – To round the show off, the band then give the audience the biggest reunion that every Oasis fans has begged for since 2009.
This will bring the house down and leave the audience feeling like they have just been on a musical journey of Oasis and the Gallagher brothers.
The transitions between these different scenes is held together by none other than Terry Christian, presenter of C4 tv show “The Word”
Terry will narrate the whole show and will appear on the screens during every scene change giving little stories about what’s coming next and maybe the odd tale about Noel before he became the best songwriter of a generation.
The band behind all of this are the UK’s Official Number One Oasis tribute band, Oasish. Even Liam has seen them and given his nod of approval and they have performed at Wembley Stadium, Knebworth, Shepherds Bush Empire, The National Indoor Arena and have been performing the biggest hits of Oasis for over 20 years since 2004.
This is a huge production of a show that is gaining more momentum with each performance.
Put together, by Oasis fans, FOR Oasis fans, could this be the best show charting “The Rise”, “The Rift”, and “The Reunion” of arguably one of the biggest bands to come out of the UK?
It Definitely Maybe…
