This Lunar New Year, prepare to be dazzled as Focal Studios transforms St Luke’s Bombed Out Church into a breathtaking visual masterpiece with Legends of Spring.
Celebrating the Year of the Snake, this immersive projection-mapped experience, Legends of Spring, will transport visitors on an unforgettable journey inspired by Chinese mythology.
The iconic architecture of St Luke’s will serve as a dynamic canvas blending mythical tales with local heritage. Audiences will watch in awe as cosmic forces collide, barren landscapes bloom into spring, and a majestic hero soars to bless the city with good fortune.
Legends of Spring unfolds like a video game, inviting audiences to journey through mythical tales of creation, harmony, and renewal.

The production, created in collaboration with Pagoda Arts, features 8-bit retro video game artwork contributed by local school children and community groups.
This one-of-a-kind event merges traditional Chinese folklore with Liverpool’s rich history, creating a celebration that’s both visually stunning and culturally meaningful.
