Most of us can’t get through the day without a cup of coffee, so it’s good news that in Liverpool we’re guaranteed the very best!
Bean Coffee Roasters has been voted Liverpool BID Company’s Business of the Month for January.
Chloe Gaughan, marketing manager for Liverpool BID Company, said:
“Bean is a fantastic business in Liverpool and a well-deserved BID Business of the Month.
“From supporting the community with initiatives like Yellow Monday and supporting funding for Zoe’s Place, and more, it’s a fantastic asset to the city. And whatever the time, whether it’s a coffee meeting, lunch break, catch-up with friends, family meet-up, online shopping or everything in between, Bean Coffee is a great spot to be!”
Here’s 7 reasons why Bean was awarded BID’S coveted accolade…
Independently owned – and passionate about our favourite cuppa
Bean Coffee is an independently owned, Liverpool-based coffee roasting company founded in Liverpool in 2008. Its passion for coffee comes from its love for the way it’s made and the people who grow it and, from visits to coffee farms across the globe and the close relationships it holds with farmers and trusted import partners, it’s embraced its responsibility to help make the coffee industry better and ensure a sustainable future for coffee-growing communities for years to come.
Roasting its own
In 2015, Bean took a significant step, establishing its our own roastery within the historic Brunswick Dock, a location that continues to be at the heart of its operations even now. It roasts a range of speciality coffees available during visits to any of its stores and to purchase online, including many single origins and its signature Bean Blend – a number of which have won Great Taste Awards it’s ‘really proud of’.
Growing sites
Bean can boast an ever growing number of sites in Liverpool and across the North West. It’s one of Liverpool’s oldest independent coffee companies and there are now 19 branches of Bean offering a selection of food and drink – and great coffee served by its expert barristas – along with great offers to make your Bean Coffee buy better than ever.
Support for Liverpool charities
From early on Bean has shown its love for, and involvement with, local charities including Alder Hey, from taking part in its first ever Dragon Boat Festival in 2019 to creating a special edition coffee to raise funds in 2023. More recently, it supported fundraising to save Zoe’s Place Children’s Hospice.
Getting involved with city initiatives
Bean is part of the city community and always keen to get involved with local initiatives like Yellow Monday – launched by BID Company Liverpool to make our day brighter in a dull January – giving away 200 cups of coffee. Bean wants to make a difference to Liverpool and having chosen to be a voluntary BID member is one of the local businesses helping to make the city a vibrant and thriving one.
Entertaining us
It’s not just its coffees that put a smile on our faces, Bean hosts regular live music events to make that catch-up with friends over coffee – or a cocktail – more enjoyable than ever. Its staff are always super friendly and Bean has a great digital loyalty scheme: start collecting points on everything you spend in store and when you’ve got 30 points you can grab a free coffee.
Office subscriptions
Because we all know how awful the coffee is in some office machines, Bean has come to the rescue with the bean to cup machine subscription service. No matter how large or small your workplace is, you can subscribe to Bean Coffee and get its fresh whole beans and equipment for a better coffee every day.
