Advertorial
Mersey Ferries is looking to partner with one or more suppliers to deliver high quality food and drink on board, at terminals and more.
Mersey Ferries aren’t just a way to travel on the river, they’re a world-famous icon loved equally by visitors, commuters and local families and now there is a rare opportunity to work with one of the UK’s most well-loved and instantly recognisable visitor attractions.
The opportunity will also include serving passengers on board the new ferry named Royal Daffodil, which is currently being built at Cammell Laird and will go into service in 2026.
This isn’t just a regular catering contract; imaginative and ambitious food and drink businesses are being given the opportunity to create a brand-new experience for passengers. This contract will give suppliers the chance to play a key role in helping to shape the next chapter of the Mersey Ferries.
Suppliers must share Mersey Ferries customer-led approach, its commitment to excellence, and understand their passengers.
In its search to find the ideal food and drink partners, Mersey Ferries is holding a Supplier Open Day to support potential bidders at 2pm on Tuesday 11 November 2025 at No. 1 Mann Island.

This session will offer suppliers a chance to:
- Visit key sites
- Meet the Mersey Ferries team
- Ask questions
- Gain insight into the operating environment and customer base
Any business wanting to register interest should contact the team with their details by emailing tender@liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk.
Full tender documentation including specifications, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions will be available via The Chest following the engagement day on Tuesday 11 November 2025.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 21 November 2025.
