No motorway madness. No parking nightmares. Just Feel Good Travel … and here’s why:
Quicker than you think to get there

It takes just a little over two hours to get from Lime Street Station to London Euston, and just two hours twelve minutes from Liverpool South Parkway, so by the time you’ve had a cuppa and snack on board, done your crossword, or caught up on your WhatsApp messages, you’re almost there.
New stop – Liverpool South Parkway

A new stop at Liverpool South Parkway means you don’t even need to head into the city centre to board the mainline service. On weekdays and Saturdays, a new hourly service will connect to London on one of 170 trains that are scheduled to stop at the station (which has parking, handy drop-off and pick-up points, and bike storage) every week.
There and back in a day or make a weekend of it

With two trains every hour throughout most of the day, you know you can rely on a regular service. In the week trains usually set off from Lime Street shortly after 5am with the last train for the city leaving Euston around 9pm to get you easily there and back in a day – or with great value weekend fares you might want to make the most of your visit and stay longer.
Prices start from just £26

Which barely covers a brunch! The best way to get cheap tickets to London is to book in advance – and when you book directly you don’t pay any booking fees. It’s easy to upgrade or change your ticket, and if you’re travelling with friends and family, a group ticket could give you more savings still. (You can even save up to a third on the cost of train tickets with a railcard).
You can upgrade to Standard Premium on board

Who doesn’t like a little luxury? Upgrading to Standard Premium costs from only £37.50 one way and means you can sink into comfier seats with more room to spread out and relax, get a table, and secure sockets at every seat.
WiFi and charging points

You can post on Insta, like on Facebook, and read all your latest emails so you don’t miss a thing: with Avanti West Coast WiFi is now completely free, and there are charging points so your phone doesn’t die just before you finish watching your favourite podcast or sending that email.
Treat yourself to First Class

If you fancy a treat, First Class has got to be the best way to travel with bigger seats and loads more legroom. As well as a table and free WiFi, you get complimentary food and drink from classic British breakfast to meals inspired by cuisines across the world, and you’ll be served at your table by a dedicated host. The joy even starts before you get onboard, with a luxurious lounge to offer comfort away from the crowds.
London offers the perfect trip – free landmarks to visit

There’s nothing like a trip to the Big Smoke, whether you’re planning to see the sights and shows, sit down to some amazing food, head for the nightlife – or hit the shops! Yet not everything has you reaching for your cash and card – there are loads of parks, places and iconic landmarks that you can enjoy for free – like the Natural History Museum, Hyde Park, markets like Borough and Portobello Road, and the Sky Garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie Building (and the Avanti Coast West website’s got loads of tips as well as discount offers!).
See a show – West End 2026

You can take your pick of musical magic – Les Miserables, Hamilton, Oliver, Back to the Future, Matilda, The Lion King, and too many more to mention – and there’s drama, comedy, and mystery too. You can also catch some of your fave stars: Shadowlands opens in February seeing Hugh Bonneville reprising his acclaimed role; Wicked legend Cynthia Erivo takes on Dracula at the Noel Coward Theatre from Feb 4 to the end of May, and Lesley Manville and Aiden Turner are in Les Liaisons Dangereuse at the National from April 2 to June 6. Griff Rhys Jones, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Kristin Scott Thomas and Rebecca Lucy Taylor will also be treading the West End boards.
Perfect for all of the family

With shows, zoos, parks, museums, iconic landmarks and awe-inspiring attractions, London’s got about everything there is to keep the whole family happy.
